So everyone knows the creatures are inspired by mostly dragon's dogma, while the rest is Ruby Gillman teenage kraken.

Now she’s forgotten that she’s Nerissa and really thinks she’s Chelsea, and that she and Ruby are actually best friends. What’s a kraken to do with an amnesiac evil mermaid? What will her mother and grandmother think? And what happens if those memories come back? Bad Summary.

But just when it feels like everything has come crashing down, she finds Chelsea, a mermaid, who thinks she should embrace the kraken inside of her. Ruby is hesitant at first, but soon finds out that a giant kraken is just what she might need to fix the broken history between her and Chelsea’s people and right the wrongs of the past. Whether or not this will be the case, is a story left to be seen.
