Description:

Steve Harrington and Jonathan Byers have always existed in the same gravity well: close enough to feel the pull, never close enough to touch.
Across collapsing worlds, tarot readings, radio towers, road trips, and late-night conversations that circle everything except the truth, they keep missing each other by inches.
Some stories are about impact.
Others are about orbit.
This is a collection of moments — canon, canon-divergent, and quietly inevitable — where the distance narrows, the math changes, and gravity finally wins.

Notes:

This collection grew out of a single question:
What happens when two people keep calling it coincidence long after it stops being one?
Between the Tower and the Star is a series of one-shots exploring Steve Harrington and Jonathan Byers through canon moments, canon divergence, the usual subtext, and tarot symbolism. Some chapters are soft, some are messy, some are funny, some are dark

Tarot cards appear throughout as framing devices rather than prophecy. They don’t predict the future so much as name what’s already happening — collapse, endurance, hesitation, hope. The cards don’t cause anything here. They just refuse to let anyone look away.
These stories aren’t about perfection or easy communication. They’re about orbiting, missing each other by inches, choosing wrong on purpose, and still being pulled back. About incompatibility that somehow balances. About the way disaster clarifies things. About how sometimes the math really does change.
