Even though he was one of the greatest hockey players in the NHL, nobody knew much about him or his personal life. His closest friend, Hayden Pike, was the only person besides his family to know anything about him and what he was. He was a Little. One of the very few Littles in any major sport.

Summary
Shane Hollander was not what people expected him to be. It was all a cover up. He wasn't some big, strong, brave hockey player, or a Caregiver or Neutral. He barely felt like a real person half the time. There were so many expectations he needed to follow, that he felt guilty when his biology sometimes got in the way of that. Luckily, though, Hayden Pike seemed to be the solution to his problem(s).

Summary
The past few weeks have been rough for Ilya. Apart from his role of being Captain and worrying about his Little, there were more things going on in his personal life that he had kept to himself. He knew he should tell Shane what was going on, but all of Ilya's problems were about his brother, Alexei. Ilya knew better than to drag Shane into any conflict involving Alexei or anyone from his previous life in Russia. Shane would get hurt and Ilya would never forgive himself if that happened.
Ilya had learned how to mask his emotions at a young age, since he found his mother unresponsive at age 12. Since that day, he has become an expert at hiding his feelings. Which was a bit hypocritical when he really thought about it, because his number one rule for his Little was that Shane would come to him if he ever felt sad or if his feelings were too much. He was the caregiver, though. He thrived on taking care of Shane, loved being the one to see and make his boy smile and to be the only one to see such a vulnerable side of the usual broody and anxious man.
He thought he was doing a good job at hiding his feelings, but his attempts were weak.
