Summary
Slowly, Robert stands up. He’s shivering. He looks sick. His eyes are glassy, and Invisigal blinks. He hadn’t looked like that just a few moments ago. What the hell is he coming down with that it’s hitting him so hard and fast? . The door to his cell is unlocked. He doesn’t fight when he is roughly grabbed and shoved into the hallway. Robert looks over at Invisigal.
“Please,” he mumbles. He’s hunching forward, like he’s going to start trying to crawl out of his own skin. A million alarms are going off in Invisigal’s head, but there’s nothing she can do about them, “Whatever happens, stay in the cells.”

Robert reaches down, hand gently probing his new bite wound. He gasps when he touches the open punctures. His hand comes back slick and red with dark blood. Shit. Shit shit shit.
Get up.
Robert slowly leverages himself into a sitting position. Shit, why does so much of moving require the use of stomach muscles? He’s panting great gulps of air and sweating. It’s so fucking cold. He’s in the middle of the woods, it’s January, he’s bleeding out, and he’s So. Fucking. Cold. The blood loss is probalby not helping. He closes his eyes, gritting his teeth. He needs to get moving, find shelter or something, find a way to do something about the bite. He’s not going to die out here. The back of his head is pulsing with a faint but insistent pain, nothing compared to his stomach but not helping with his focus.

“Alright, we’ve got a deer and two elk tags,” Malevola announces. The team had wanted to just go out and hunt, but Mandy had insisted they make sure they did it right and legally. “You boys ready to have fun tonight?” She puts her hand son her knees and says it condescendingly.
“I’ve been waiting for this all month!” Sonar shouts, head back and calling out to the stars. A laugh bubbles in Robert’s chest, Sonar’s energy pulling at the Robert, his anxiety and fears steadily being soothed away by his pack and the moonlight shining overhead. He doesn’t even mind that his laugh gets Coupe and Malevola staring at him.
