"Do you know what the doctor’s response was?” The elder vampire stopped directly in front of Pyro, the light behind him casting a shadow across Scott’s face, his red eyes almost looked like they were glowing in the darkness…actually Pyro was pretty sure they were.
“No- No idea, Sire!” He tried to give a smile, attempting to hide his fear, “I’m sure it wasn’t anything worth listening to-”
“He said,” Scott cut them off, taking a step forward, “That you had come into town the other day, asking about said cure.”
“Sire, I can explain-”

Summary
They were wandering the castle looking for any signs of their coven-mates, now that the main shell of the castle was completed it felt odd when no one was around. She passed empty rooms, still waiting for new furniture to be built and placed inside. Suddenly, she hears a conversation down the hall, it’s Scott and Pyro. She can’t help herself, slipping into the shadows, she sneaks to the door and listens.

“It’s not, I swear. Here look,” He watched as they held up a bottle of viscous red liquid, “I had a cow on the way here, and I kept some of the leftovers. No need to worry about me getting hungry.”
“Fine. Come around to the front, and just, stay out of sight.”
“Trust me, I don’t plan on being seen here.”
Legundo opened the front door to Pyro already on the other side, “Come on inside. Let’s talk.”

Summary
She got out of bed and went downstairs to find Pearl already at the door, the voices of the rest of the townsfolk filtering in. The two went outside together, finding the source of the commotion.
It was Pyro. The vampire was surrounded by the townsfolk, Martyn brandishing his silver sword while Avid was aiming a stake, Pyro himself was backed up against the wall of the Doctor’s house, holding up his hands in surrender.

Apo stood at the entrance to the castle, fiddling with the rope held in her hands. What the hell was she even doing here? This was basically enemy territory! Their job was- is to protect the town, protect the people of Oakhurst. Fraternizing with the castle inhabitants went directly against that! Not to mention he was in there. She really didn't want to deal with that noble jerk of an elder vampire. They were contemplating turning back around and leaving, they shouldn't be here, this wasn't where they belonged. They were broken out of their contemplation by the feeling of a snout pressing into their hand. Right, the reason they came here. She sighed, giving Truffle a quick pet on the head, unable to resist smiling as the pig snuffed in contentment. Once Truffle was satisfied, she stood back up, staring at those giant wooden doors, gathering the courage to knock. Truffle snorted beside her, and she banged her fist on the door.

"See this is what I'm talking about, Pyro!" The doctor was glaring at Scott, gesturing at the him as he spoke, "Why does he need to know what our conversation was about? You shouldn't have to tell him everything you talk to others about. That's just another way he is trying to control you!"
Pyro was seething against him, "He doesn't-" They let out a frustrated growl, "Would you stop saying that!?"
"Relax, my love," He soothed, noting the way the doctor's fists clenched in his own anger as Scott pressed a kiss to Pyro's hair, "as much as I adore how you look covered in blood, let's avoid violence for right now. Why don't you head back to the castle? Shelby should be home, and I think I would like a word alone with dear ol' doc."

"Pyro!" She beamed up at him, "You're back early! How was your hunt?"
They swallowed back another growl, claws twitching with the desire to harm. He crossed his arms, digging the sharp points into his own skin, he couldn't possibly risk lashing out at Shelby. Shelby never questioned him and Scott except that one time, when everything was still so new. She was probably his closest friend here, she didn't deserve to be the victim of his wrath. They managed to spit out a response after a moment,"It was going great."
Her bright smile dimmed slightly as she took in his sour mood, tilting her head a bit, "Did something happen? Where's Scott?"
"A human happened. Specifically, Legundo. Sire sent me home because he wanted to have a private conversation with him."
"Ooh no."
