He pulls a flip phone out of his pocket and types in Hirotsu’s number. But despite his usual urgency to get Chuuya medical attention, his finger hovers over the ‘dial’ button.
He can hear sirens getting louder, the ones used by ambulances and the police, which only signifies they’re getting closer.
Dazai sighs before returning the phone back into his pocket.
“I guess it’s inevitable,” Dazai turns his hair petting into pats. He was told once upon a time that dogs like them, “You’ll have to be treated at the hospital.”
Or, after Corruption, Chuuya gets taken by an ambulance before Dazai can get to him.

Summary
“What the hell are you doing here?”
Dazai doesn’t respond, he just awkwardly stands there staring at Chuuya.
“Alright then asshole, don’t say anything,” The mafioso slowly sits up, rubbing at his fatigued eyelids.
He looks back at Dazai, now taking in more details over the other’s appearance. The dark circles under his empty eyes seem prominent and his cheeks look more sunken in than the last time they saw each other.
He now knows why Dazai is here, but before he could say anything, the brunet beats him to it, “Make it stop.”
Or; Dazai’s stuck in his head, Chuuya helps him.

“It was completed without any incidents despite the unfortunate event that occurred after it.”
A pause.
“Get the fuck on with it!” He shouts, uncaring about the aftermath of his rudeness.
Mori ignores the disrespect and finally decides to tell Chuuya the answer to his memory loss, “You were shocked by lightning.”
Or; Chuuya gets struck by lightning and thinks the scars are ugly. Dazai disagrees.

Summary
He sucks in a breath, lungs on fire from the dust he inhaled when the building collapsed.
He and Dazai had been on a mission, something easy; get in, get information, and get out. But apparently the organization had already been expecting someone to infiltrate this place, so they ran away with their precious knowledge and, unbeknownst to Double Black, had set multiple bombs around their lair, detonating them all just as the duo was about to reach the exit.
It was a whirlwind of getting Dazai to safety and hoping that he didn’t get crushed himself. Except, it looks like he failed the last part of his goal considering he’s about to be smashed to pieces if he doesn’t find a way to get out of the situation quickly.
Or; Chuuya gets trapped underneath the remains of a building. Dazai helps him out.

Mori lifts a brow at the bandaged boy in front of him, “Very well then,” He turns his attention to the ginger, “Chuuya, you’re dismissed.”
The shorter opens his mouth to speak, but shuts it after a few seconds, turning to walk towards the entrance.
He ignores the way guilt claws at his stomach when his partner doesn’t show up the next day.
Or; Chuuya messes up on a mission, Dazai takes the fall for him.

Summary
He recognizes how it must look like he’s taking away the ginger’s food as Chuuya opens his jaw, snapping down on the hand in front of him, teeth sinking in between bones and tendons.
It’s a weird feeling at first, something he’s unable to describe, until the pain begins pulsing through his nerves up into his arm.
Dazai cries out in pain, trying to pull away, but only making things worse, “Fuck!”
The second his dog hears the curse, he freezes. It must take Chuuya a moment to realize what he’s done, and when he does, he detaches his mouth immediately. Fearful, two-toned eyes meet brown ones.
Or; Chuuya, as a dog hybrid, accidentally bites Dazai. He runs away thinking that the brunet would hurt him.

Summary
For a moment, they stay there, staring at each other, fear slowly growing in the younger’s eyes, pushing the ginger to try and rectify his actions, “Dazai—”
“I’m sorry,” Comes a small, shaky voice.
Chuuya finds himself unable to speak — his words lodged in his throat — and instead listens to the thud of the brunet’s knees hitting the ground. He feels the way trembling hands clutch at his pant leg, pulling him towards the other.
“I’m sorry!” Dazai cries, fingernails digging into the ginger’s thigh.
Or; Chuuya says something hurtful, and Dazai breaks down because of it.

Summary
He had escaped from the laboratory only about 5 moons ago. With the passing years, funding for the Arahabaki project grew thinner causing a decrease in security which made the perfect opportunity for Chuuya to break out after he had gathered enough strength.
It wasn’t easy by any means. He was weak from being suspended in a tube, had no control of his ability, and most of the walls were reinforced to make it difficult to get in or out.
He has fought tirelessly to live, to try and make an existence outside of the lab. He won't give up on the life he has just barely started, not when he could have so much more.
Pushing himself off the wall, he tries to walk as steadily as he can to the first person he sees: a tall brunet with a beige trench coat. He’s going to steal the guy's money to survive.
Or; Chuuya escapes from the lab a little later in his life. To get some cash he tries to pickpocket Dazai, but it doesn’t work out as expected.

Summary
In his peripheral, he notices more of the same vegetation. It must mean that he’s in a rice field, except he’s not exactly sure why he’s here. With the aches spreading around his skin, in his joints, and deep within his bones, he must have been on some sort of mission, but that’s the only thing he can deduce.
He attempts to think back to his latest memory only to find his mind blanking on anything that might be of use. The last thing he can remember is Dazai’s face, expression unreadable as he stares at Chuuya, those brown eyes swirling.
He isn’t able to discern anything else, just the vague smell of the earth which doesn’t surprise him considering he’s stranded in a field.
Or; Chuuya wakes up alone in a rice field with no memory of why he’s there. Dazai takes him home.

Summary
When he feels a shift in the atmosphere, he uses his bare feet to push against the ground, shuffling himself as far back as the handcuffs can reach. It’s a little strenuous on his arms to be in such a position, but there’s nowhere else for him to lay against.
Just like how his instincts had predicted, the door immediately slams open, making room for a short figure to step through.
The first thing Dazai notices about the intruder is the ginger hair, light from the hallway turning the edges of it into a dull fire. His gaze is completely transfixed on the man as gloved fists punch the guards standing near the door, another hand being swiftly lifted from his thigh to hold a knife to one of the guy’s throats, hastily slicing it.
Or; Dazai is a cat hybrid on his way to be sold to a new owner. Chuuya breaks in and finds him in a cage.

When a few minutes pass and he still shows no sign of sleeping, brain still painfully awake and eyes hurting from the bone-deep exhaustion, his frustration starts to leak into his chest.
He can’t sleep at all, not even for a second. And because of this, Mori’s just going to find some cruel way to force him into a slumber. He’ll probably tie him down until his sleepless nights catch up to him and he succumbs to his bittersweet fatigue.
Or; Dazai can’t go to sleep because of his insomnia.

His slug is clearly in pain, but why?

Summary
He finally catches sight of him when walking down a street. It's a sight he knows to expect, yet a heavy pit still forms in his stomach, dropping down into his guts.
The brunet is standing atop the railing of a bridge, back turned to the water, arms spread out. His beige coat is flying behind him while his feet inch ever so slowly to the edge, posture stiff. It’s like he’s working past a mental barrier in actually committing the final act of his life.
Chuuya stands there rigidly still, lungs shakily inhaling before coming to a stop. He feels his fingers twitch, joints creaking, something stuck in his throat. It’s dead quiet in the cold night air with nothing but the sound of trees swaying in the wind.
Or; Dazai tries to commit suicide, Chuuya saves him and a night of comfort ensues.

“What the fuck?” Suddenly he has a face full of ginger as the shorter rushes over to him. His arm is gently tugged forward as his lover examines the bloodied bandages. “What happened?”
Dazai squirms uncomfortably for a second, weight shifting between both feet, “Nothing you need to worry about.”
Or; During a mission, Dazai’s bandages bleed through leaving Chuuya to take care of him.

Summary
The only wish he’s had for the longest time is finally going to be fulfilled. It’s something he’s been anticipating his whole life for, downright craving it at every second he’s found himself thinking for too long. Yet he was forced to live because of his stupidly loyal dog who kept foiling every plan he made in an attempt to die, but the slug wasn’t here to stop him this time and he might even be able to go through with it this time.
Everything blurs as he downs the drink, setting it onto the table with a smile. It fades instantly after realizing what he’s done. He didn’t swallow poison, he just consumed drugs. Ones that would surely take effect soon.
He quickly reaches for his phone. If he is still lucid enough to call someone, he can stop the damage that might be done to him and get help before it’s too late.
Or; Dazai gets drunk and someone offers him a pill. He takes it without realizing what exactly it will do to him.

Summary
It feels right to push people away, a means of protection for both him and the other person caught in his poison. Bringing a hand to his partner’s neck, an awkward position from how they’re seated, he shoves him back, using his other arm for help so he doesn’t break his wrist.
The shorter falls like dead weight onto the cushion next to him, blessedly away from the brunet.
He should feel better about this new predicament, but his chest now only hurts more with what must be that emotion Odasaku was talking about called guilt. When he looks back to his lover, the weight of guilt slowly crushes each one of his bones under invisible pressure.
Or; Dazai fears his touch hurts the people around him. Chuuya proves him wrong with cuddles.

“Don’t ‘Chibi’ me, asshole. You purposely got me fucking tortured!”
The suicidal man stares at him soundlessly, something akin to shock on his face. The cold, rainy atmosphere doesn’t help with his mood as the brunet confirms his suspicions.
“Why would you do that to me? Did you want to see me suffer like this?” — he coughs a few times at the strain yelling puts on his voice — “I’m not some stupid ass dog that will come to your every beck and call no matter what you do.”
Or; Chuuya loses his memory of the previous day’s events, only able to rely on Dazai for his information. Except, Dazai isn’t that good at explaining the details.

Spots suddenly form in his vision, blooming around in black color. His legs feel unable to work and give out beneath his weight causing a harsh landing to the ground below him. He knew he should’ve eaten something before this happened.
Plus, if Chuuya happened to stumble across him, the dog might go into one of his worried frenzies and try to help Dazai even though the mission would be more important.
Or; Dazai hasn’t been eating and passes out. Chuuya takes care of him after that.

Summary
The sight he sees is something that will haunt his nightmares for a long time to come. His mentor lying on the floor; dirty, bloody bandages piling high in the trash can while the brunet lays in the bath, arms propped up on the edges of the porcelain. Thick, red liquid pools on the floor, dripping down the sides of the tub. It comes from Dazai’s arm and the many cuts lining across it.
Atsushi pales, his breath stopping. He stands there for a second in shock, fingers twitching with the need to do something, panic filling his chest. Nausea settles in his stomach making his head feel light.
He isn’t sure what to do.
Or; Dazai attempts suicide, this time more serious than what Atsushi has seen.
