Perfect, as a prince, Cross had to be perfect, he had to listen to what his father says so he’ll be perfect, not that he minded, his life was already perfect with his fathers guidance
So Cross doesn’t worry when his father tells him he’ll be marrying a king from a foreign kingdom
He doesn’t worry when the king doesn't like him and shuns him away
He doesn't worry when the kings cute blacksmith seems to take an interest in him
He doesn’t worry when he discovers the blacksmiths hidden plans to run away
And he definitely doesn’t worry when the King discovers the blacksmiths plans and assumes Cross to be apart of them, causing Cross and the blacksmith to run away and for Crosses life to fall into Shambles because how could he ever return to his kingdom now and his father and siblings must think he’s a terrible, selfish person and-Oh, he’s rambling again
