Make me cry a lot for Naruto and I do like the mental health issues depiction, but I wouldn't call this whump. Not for Naruto at least, Sasuke does get a lot of TLC but lol honestly as things stand I don't care a whit for the village or Naruto's so called support system like one of the text text issue highlight in the first installment is that Naruto straight up never had any, ever.
The therapy part is great and the frank "no, this is a life long chronic health issue" is refreshing too. Not arguing with the it's not anyone's fault part because the konoha crew is not obligated to care to begin with, but hey I love how Ms.Therapist is straightforward with how fucked over Naruto is in general and it's not some mystical bad luck that couldn't be helped.
Overall it just make the whole we're friends thing feel insincere, they just feel guilty and try to make up for it. Not a bad thing, but not exactly something that inspire you to live.
Like good for Sasuke that he was building and being integrated into a community, but while as things stand I am slowly being won over by Sasuke's efforts from what I see Naruto remain virtually alone as always, no wonder he broke down to begin with.
Kind of fascinating that in this series, it's Sasuke with the real friendships and Naruto who's always lonely and dehumanized with his fledging detoxifying relationship with Sasuke as his only tie to humanity. At least the medical treatment and therapy Naruto got here is actually good.
