Since New Years, he’d consumed her every waking thought. Though, she’d be a bare faced liar if she said those blue eyes and freckles didn’t pay her a visit in her dreams from time to time too. Lexi couldn’t remember any time in her life before him that anyone had really seen her for who she really was, much less seemed interested. She craved him with every fibre of her being.

Her skin was on fire with the need to touch him, and a part of her thanked whatever Gods she didn’t believe in that her fantasies remained inside of her head, at least for the time being. Because she was sure the moment his skin made real contact with hers, she’d burst into flames.

Lexi Howard never fully recovered from being stood up by Fezco O'Neill.
No one heard from him again after his last text to Lexi the night of her play. They all assumed a drug deal had gone wrong and he had to bail quickly.
But not Lexi.
She feared the worst.
She got the shock of her life when 5 years later, builders turned up to work on her home with Fezco in tow.
He looked a little different, hair had grown out a little, tattoos covered his more muscular arms.
But it was definitely him.
So, after recovering from her shock, she asked him the only thing she could think of. "Where were you?"

Dear Diary,
of all the things I’ve been called, I never would have thought that this particular sentence got me stuck, would absorb all my attention at once, and would circle around in my head for the whole evening, but I assume being called “fucking fearless” does that to you. Especially, when someone as handsome and beautiful as him gifts these words to you on a ridiculously comfortable couch on New Year’s Eve, while smoking a joint – it made me completely crazy, in the best way possible.

If he had thought that the first step outside would be difficult, then he really had not expected what he would experience when he stood in front of the house.
Their house.
As soon as he saw it from the outside, saw the gate that was blocking the way to the courtyard, he stopped. His throat tightened; he couldn’t breathe. Gasping for air, he pressed his hand on his chest, the tears welling up in his eyes.
Lexi and Rue turned around, watching him, and exchanging a short glance. They rushed at his side, each putting a hand on his shoulder. “It’s okay Fez”, Rue muttered.
“You don’t have to go inside. We can go somewhere else.” Lexi’s voice was filled with worry, with guilt, as if she had thought that this would be a bad idea.
Fez shook his head. “No”, he barely whispered, still longing for air. No matter how much he wanted to run away, creeping away from all of it, he couldn’t.
He had to try.
Maybe this was the way he could finally feel something again.
or, after five years in prison, Fez finally gets to say goodbye to his little brother.
