Dick, mid-kick, froze. His foot hung in the air. A flash of vibrant scarlet, impossibly delicate, peeked from beneath the waistband of Jason’s jeans. Not the tactical red of his gear, but something… lace. A tiny, ruffled edge of it, peeking out from beneath the rugged denim. A thong. Frilly. Red. The image seared itself into Dick’s brain. His breath hitched. A jolt, hot and sudden, arced through him, stunning him senseless. His balance evaporated. His elevated leg, forgotten, wobbled. He tripped over his own feet—a gasp escaping his lips—and face-planted hard into the grime-slicked asphalt.

As Jason watches Nightwing leave, Jason feels something tickle his lungs, giving him a much-unwanted coughing fit. He reaches out for the newest addition to his kit, a small thermos, and downs it in hopes of dislodging whatever has caused the sensation in the first place.
Grimacing, Jason begrudgingly digs it out, catching the hint of bright purple before crushing it in palm.
There’s no need for anyone to know.

DickJay Week 2026 (Day 8)
Free Day | Arkham KnightJason has been imprisoned under Arkham Asylum for over a year. When he finally gets out, he sets out on the path to revenge, but things quickly spiral out of control, and he ends up without memories in the apartment of a very handsome man who says he is his brother and calls him his Little Wing. Dick Grayson treats him with such love and care that he almost doesn't notice that he is not allowed to go outside. Dick says it's dangerous, and even if he doubted him, it's not like he actually wants to go out or anything.
Two weeks pass by like this before Jason gets a nightmare. He remembers Batman, Robin, and the Joker. He remembers Nightwing and how upset Dick was at Jason's own existence. He is terrified that once Dick realizes that he remembers, he will want nothing more to do with him.

Dick could still see it: The way Jason had gone feral, body rigid, shift washing over him, sharpening his nails to claws. Batman coming down from the rafters, taking Jason down. The absolute terror on Jason's face when he'd come back to himself, unable to make his limbs move with Batman's teeth on his neck, forcing his submission. Dick knew that in wolf gangs fights for dominance were commonly ended with teeth on necks, knew that rogues used it on their victims and some parents on their children. But for all that Dick had spent half his childhood under the roof of a wolf shifter, had fought rogues for most of his life, he had never seen a submission bite outside of a scene. He didn't know how to make this right, but he couldn't not try.
