The strongest team of Fairy Tail takes on a quest, heading to Demon Island located south of the Fiore Continent. According to the island villagers, eight years ago they rescued eight mysterious individuals from the sea. However, those strangers repaid kindness with cruelty and "stole" their magic. The villagers’ lives have since been greatly disrupted, and they have lost contact with the outside world for eight years. They beg the Fairy Tail wizards to help them "reclaim" their magical power and restore their ordinary lives.
Enraged after hearing the tale, the Fairy Tail members vow to stand up for the villagers. Yet that very night, they fall victim to a sneak attack. Caught off guard, they nearly lose one of their companions.
