Summary
Lucía Simón—Lucí, to her friends—has always known monsters are real. Her doña told her, when she was little, that only special people can see them. Well, Lucía would give anything to have just been normal. Being special didn’t stop the monsters from murdering her mamá.
But Lucí isn’t a normal girl. She can’t be. As she’s about to find out, she’s a half-blood—and not only that. The Fates themselves have been holding a prophecy over her head since the 1940s. Wanna know the worst part? No one will tell her what that prophecy even is—never mind that everyone who would see her dreaded role in it come to fruition already seems to know.
Lucky for her, then, that she isn’t alone. She’ll face fate with the stars to light her way and her best friends at her side. That is, of course, unless their constant bickering manages to drive her completely nuts first.
