Summary
There was one thing that did change between them: Gintoki, ever since making his first bento box has started to always make bentos for Hijikata. He doesn’t necessarily wake up early for it everyday. Some days he would prepare the food the night before and groggily tell Hijikata to take it with him the next morning. Hijikata would always ruffle his hair, place a soft kiss on top of his head, and walk into the kitchen to grab his neatly wrapped bento and be on his way out.
