   Summary

   Ponyboy decides to toughen up after what happens with Johnny and dally, even if it means leaving behind the dreams of being the first greaser to make it out of Tulsa, he won’t ever let anyone hurt him like that again, like dally said “you get tough let me and you don’t get hurt”— he has curly Shepard by his side being there for him through it all.
