“Is it too late for me and daarin to elope?” Zanka asks as he feels another vein his forehead bulge
“Unfortunately, yes” Semiu answers making Zanka groan “Just a bit more and you will marrying your husband and not have to actually deal with them for…a few weeks” she adds
“I love them” Zanka says as he looks towards Enjin and Riyou who were pouting and grumbling “But this is supposed to be the happiest day of my life and they are ruining it” he adds making Semiu grimace
“You know they worry for you and are protective…not that it excuses the way they behave but maybe try to talk to them?” Semiu offers “I will go see if Corvus is done with Jabber’s hair and go grab the extensions for yours” she adds and Zanka simply nods at that
Zanka simply observes Enjin and Riyo, the two who he sees as a father and sister, trying to understand how they couldn’t understand that Jabber was his everything and how happy he made him.
He could understand that they were worried seeing that Jabber did not give the best first or second impression to them but shouldn’t it be enough proof that Jabber was the best thing for him with how happy Zanka was?
“Enjin, Riyo” Zanka calls since, Semiu was right and he should just talk with those two
“Is something wrong, Zanka?” Riyo asks
“Have you changed your mind and want to run away?” Enjin says and Zanka sighs
“Can you…stop?” Zanka requests
“Stop…what?” Riyo asks confused
“With this!” Zanka points at her and Enjin
“You need to explain better, Zanka” Enjin says as they aren’t understanding what he is trying to say
“Today is supposed to be the happiest day of my life as I’m marrying the person I love but you two…the way you have been acting makes me believe that being in love with my daarin made you stop loving me” Zanka explains, a bit tired “I know Jabber did not give the best first or even second impression but…he makes me happy and feel loved, why can’t you accept that and be happy for me?” he asks just wanting those he considers his family to be happy for him and support him in one of the most important days of his life
Riyo and Enjin can only look at Zanka as they absorb what he just told them.
They never had wanted to make Zanka feel like this, they loved him but just couldn’t see why of all people he chose Jabber.
Maybe they should have just stopped and watched how happy Jabber made him but…he was their baby/brother and they just wanted to protect him.
But ended up hurting him instead.
“...I’m sorry Zanka” Riyo says looking at the ground feeling guilt “I’m just worried for you, I never wanted to make you feel like I don’t love you anymore” she adds
“...Me too” Enjin says “You are my baby and I will never be ready for you to marry but…finding out it is with someone who almost killed you, made me act too overprotective and not realize how I was hurting you” he adds
“...Just be happy for me, please? Daarin is the best for me and I want to have you take me down the altar with a smile and not a glare to my love” Zanka says softly, not saying he forgave them as it hurt how they have been acting but he could somewhat understand them
“You…want us to take you to the altar?” Riyo asks a bit surprised
“You are my family, who else would do it?” Zanka says and suddenly he has both of them hugging him ‘Good thing I still am not dressed up’ Zanka says as he hugs them back
“Want help getting ready?” Enjin asks
“I promised the kids and Eishia that they would be the ones helping me get ready but…can you keep an eye on the food? I don’t want Tamsy or Rudo to end up eating the food before the wedding” Zanka says and the two nod at him
“We will be back” Riyo says and both leave the room
Not long after they left, the kids plus Semiu and Eishia arrived to help Zanka get ready.

“Today, we are here reunited to celebrate the union between Nijiku Zanka and Jabari Wonger” Corvus announces as Jabber and Zanka look at each other, basically ignoring everyone around them with how mesmerized they are with how beautiful the other looks
During the whole time Corvus talked, the future married couple could only think about how happy they were about finally tying the other to them forever and showing to the world their love.
“Do you, Jabari Wonger, take Nijiku Zanka as your spouse?” Corvus asks
“I do” Jabber says grinning and never taking his eyes of Zanka
“And do you, Nijiku Zanka, take Jabber Wonger as your spouse?” Corvus asks, not even offended that the couple wasn’t paying much attention to what he was saying
“Please exchange rings and jinkis” Corvus says as unlike non-givers’ weddings, in a wedding between givers they exchanged their jinkis to show they trusted their spouse with part of their souls
Guita and Dear walked to Jabber and Zanka, respectively, with a decorated white pillow in their hands with a beautiful ring in them.
The ring they chose as proof of their wedding, was a simple one as they did not think that there was a need for something luxurious or extravagant to show they were married.
It was a thin silver ring with no jewels but on the inside of the ring, there were their names and a small phrase.
On the one Jabber put in Zanka’s ring finger had the phrase ‘Wangu wa pekee, mpenzi wangu wa roho’, while the one that Zanka put on Jabber’s ring finger had ‘私の愛する人、私の大切な人、私の全て、私のソウルメイト’.
They choose those phrases specifically to show how much the other meant for them, they even had told the other what was written inside the ring the previous night.
Once the exchange of rings was done, Amo brought Mankira to Jabber and Fuu brought Lovely Assistaff to Zanka.
“Today, I give you my soul to protect and love forever” Jabber says as he puts each of Mankira’s rings carefully in Zanka’s fingers while kissing each ring softly as he put them in place
“And I also give you my soul to show I trust you to love and protect it till our death and beyond" Zanka says as he passes Lovely Assistaff to Jabber who carefully grabs it
“With this, I declare you Mr. and Mr. Wonger!” Corvus says “You may kiss your spouse” he adds
With that the couple share their first kiss as a married couple as their friends celebrate and take pictures.
But maybe what surprised everyone was how Mankira and Lovely Assistaff activated themselves as the couple kissed, as a myth had been passed down that said that should two soulmates marry that their jinkis would activate themselves while on the other’s hands to show they were perfect for each other.
‘Who knew that wanting my fav troupe to become true would end up like this’ Shika fics as he takes photos of the married couple while thinking on the best moment to send one of the photos and a copy of the wedding certificate for certain Hell Guards.
