Chapter Text

An empty glass of misfortune that was too difficult to drink down his brittle throat. The mirror was foggy along with Itrapped's stability as he gripped the counter. Pull yourself up. Listen to me. Let me help you ISAAC. The sound was crushing his brains slowly.

He looked up. Up at the glass. There was nothing at first. Was this hell? Emptiness. Yet he saw the oh too far gone expression that he had left trapped in hell as he watched Chance sink downward into the frozen over lake that had seen every emotion. The lake would remember the pain but wouldn't know the story. Itrapped's story. The story before the face haunted him, replacing his face of broken darkness as his breathing felt shallower as the fedora-wearing man came closer banging harshly on the mirror, face disgustingly broken.

Quickened breaths of panic weren't meant to happen yet they did as Itrapped let out a scream of terror and pain as he started to panic slamming his own fists into the cold mirror feeling a red liquid slip out of his frail hands. As the figure didn't leave, merely just moving slower as it escaped it's cage.

The cage didn't matter when Itrapped mortified reaction forced him backwards and crawling backwards to maybe escape somewhere new yet that didn't matter when his form of protection wanted something that it couldn't have. Isaac. Your body is mine. You agreed the moment we locked eyes. So, LET ME TAKE IT. That was enough to shatter everything as Itrapped was forced into a kneel and his hands tightly bonded to the weapon of corruption and he felt weak in the chest as Chance came closer- no-no. "Please, no DON'T. Don't get closer..". The mental pain overtook the physical body pain as he looked down at the bloody mess he was. Ice was stained in his own crimson as it crushed his chest. The ice had broken his lungs. He wasn't going to be going out in a time of peace and satisfaction. Isaac was going to die here, alone, trapped and in a state of insanity. As he felt Chance gasp his shoulder's shaking his hardly moveable body around, he begged. He begged like a weak child being tossed around by the older children. Scared and feeling tears down his cheek, words hoarse. "... Stop.. please.. oh Chance.. please please just go away oh.. Oh.." . Itrapped looked up again and it wasn't the dead corpse he saw throughout slumber; it was a place of warmth and final acceptance. "Oh... Oh... Nate..". His lungs had finally collapsed as his body shook one last time his head going limp in his own arms as Ellernate-in a state of shock wrapped his own body around Itrapped keeping him close in moments that were stolen by the greediness of the world they lived in.

Ellernate was gentle running his hands through Itrapped's hair before letting his own body tremble, his eyes were wet as he let out a loud sob into Itrapped's shoulder. Letting himself break down. Itrapped had died in a state of fear and guilt. Ellernate had watched unable to help, unable to ease his...oh who were you to me now Isaac... a friend... no. Friends stick close. Somehow he wanted to ease this stranger's passing as they fell limp into his arms, the ice scraping against ellernate's own torso.

This stranger wasn't gone though he was looking longingly as he fell somewhere else, looking at his own lifeless body as he muttered. "It truly was cold outside..". But Ellernate wouldn't accept it until he could utter his forgiveness and apologies to Itrapped. But Itrapped wouldn't hear those, only the body filled of nothing would.

"I hope you're happy, Isaac. Truly this time..."-Ellernate
