And Nate Can't Stop

Summary:

Nate only discovered he liked watching someone hold their piss until they lost it, because Cale has an insufferably small bladder. This is the story of how he deals with it over the Olympics. Or tries to deal with it.

Notes:

I mean no offence to the real people I'm talking about in this story! Just a bit of fun and imagination. Fair warning, this is gonna be about a piss kink so don't read if that's not your thing, thanks :)

Chapter 1: A Realisation

Chapter Text

Nate had been going crazy for a long time.
He’s a hockey obsessive, spending 99% of his time thinking about the game or playing the game. Except the other one percent was where his insanity crept in.

Nate and Cale had been playing together for the Avs for ages now, at first Nate had been completely stale to him. He’d missed Tys so it wasn’t all his fault he’d argue. Mostly the GM’s.

But by now, Nate was so attuned to everything Cale did. He knew how Cale would play on the ice, knew where he’d move, where he’d pass to, what edge he’d take. God forbid they were ever on opposing sides.
It wasn’t just on the ice though. Cale filled his 1%. Nate also knew the food Cale would have before a game, what order he tied his laces, when his parents’ anniversary was, when Cale lost his first tooth (during a peewee hockey game of course).

They spent a lot of time together. Gabe constantly chirped them for it, Nate getting the brunt of it. He didn’t mind it really though, liked it even.

There was one thing about Cale though that was a constant, and before it hadn’t really bothered Nate all that much. It was a laughable inconvenience how often Cale had to pee, a pretty big guy and such a tiny bladder.

It only really snagged at his mind when he saw Cale lose it for the first time.

They were coming back on the team bus from the Colorado Springs airport to Denver and there’d been this massive crash on the highway, a bad one, and the whole road was taped up but the cars were all gridlocked. Now, they had just gotten off a plane and most of the guys were sleeping. Nate was lying down, head on the window, eyes droopy.

He couldn’t sleep for the constant jostling beside him.

“Cale, calm the fuck down. Go to sleep.” Nate had blearily muttered out. He was exhausted and they probably had a good while on this bus until they could U-turn out. They might as well catch up on rest.

“Sorry.” Cale had whispered.

The jostling didn’t stop, or Nate remembers it did for a little while but was quick to continue. He’d been a little pissed off until he’d opened his eyes. Cale, his defenseman, was sitting there completely red in the face (not a total surprise), legs crossed tightly and hand gripping his thigh.

“You good?” Nate had prodded Cale’s arm slightly eliciting a small jump from his friend.

Cale turned to him, he had this panicked and all over flushed look. “I’m about to explode, I seriously don’t know how long I can wait in this traffic for.”
Nate observed Cale more closely, his eyes were all glassy and Cale was looking at him as if Nate could solve it. Like he was begging Nate to, red in the face with it.

Dutifully, Nate reached into his rucksack and found an empty water bottle from the game, “Use this?”

“Gross, I’m not doing that, everyone’s gonna hear me.” Princess Cale, having rejected Nate’s solution, went back to this twitchy squirming motion for the next fifteen minutes or so.

It wasn’t uncommon for Cale to have to pee on road trips or in inconvenient situations. They all knew that about their defenseman. Still, Nate had never seen it quite like this. Cale was definitely on the very brink, squirming freely into the seat and surreptitiously grinding into the chair to release pressure.
Nate remembers watching intently; he couldn’t even bring himself to try and sleep.

After about fifteen minutes Cale had gasped, stopped wiggling and brought a hand down to grab at his joggers. Nate sat transfixed as Cale brought the hand back and underneath it was a wet patch the size of a medium tennis ball.

“Cale, we should ask the driver to turn around or something.” Nate thought he would speak with authority but his voice came out in a husk.

He was not getting off on this.
He was not.

“I don’t think I can stand up to do that.” Cale whispered, and a tear trickled down his crimson cheek.
Nate felt awful, his friend was losing it and meanwhile he was starting to get stiff in his own trousers.

“Fuck, Nate.” Cale gasped and Nate sat literally inches from Cale as his pee jetted into his joggers. It pooled first on his left thigh, then his right. Sweetly, Cale still clung onto his crotch, as if he could stop it. As if he had the power to.

It was his face too, Cale was crying and fragile but also completely blissed out as if this was his purest sense of freedom for a long time. A final letting go.
Nate shuffled around in his own seat, adjusting himself.

That was the first and only time Nate had seen Cale wet himself completely. That was six months ago and since then Nate has been going loopy. He’s been hoping it will happen again. He feels awful about his subconscious, but it is literally his subconscious, he can’t help it.

Now, they’d reached their olympic break, not really a break for them as main figures of team Canada. Nate was buzzing with it, and he could tell Cale was too from the way they’d look at each other sometimes and just grin. They knew this was going to be a gold.

Nate privately, was a bit worried though, about himself. His self control. He’d be around Cale even more than usual, maybe they’d even be sharing a room. A real possibility.
And Nate? He was getting more and more fucked up about Cale as time passed and to tell the truth he’d probably jerked off to the memory of that bus ride to denver over 20 times.
The worst part was he couldn’t really trust himself around Cale, because everything in him said to make that happen again. Make Cale need to go and then trap him. Don’t let him leave until he loses it.

Which was not an okay train of thought.

So as Dev, Cale and Nate left their Uber and walked into the airport and found team Canada, said hi to everyone enthusiastically, Nate kept glancing back to see Cale. His friend was a little… stilted with a lack of a better word for it.
Cale was greeting everyone with hugs, a little flushed as usual, but his steps were small and he looked tight. The Uber they’d taken to get here had maybe been an hour.

Nate told himself to calm down. So what, maybe Cale needed to pee, Nate wouldn’t interfere. Cale was an adult after all.

The thing was, team Canada had to rush to get their bags checked in, their passports stamped, bodies scanned, all of that. Nate was really enthralled in talking to Sid for most of it, he’d missed the guy.

As they were placing their duffles and suitcases on the conveyer Nate felt a hand grab his arm. He stopped talking to Sid momentarily and turned to find his two teammates standing there hopefully.

“Hey Cale, Dev,” Sid said cheerfully, still offloading onto the conveyor.

“Hey Sid, Cale has a question for you both.” Dev lilted his words elbowing Cale who stood beside him.
That’s when Nate really looked. Cale was still red in the face, still too tight, and now he was standing with his left leg over his right and his fingers tapping at his side.

Oh.

Cale really needed to go. Nate felt like a dog having its ears prick up, being taunted with a bone.

“Right, thanks Dev.” Cale said sarcastically, smiling in more of a grimace fashion. “How much time do we have after all this airport check in before we board? And is there, like, shops and stuff on the other side?”

Nate couldn’t stop watching as Cale rambled on, seemingly reluctant to announce to The Sidney Crosby that he was dying for a piss. Because it was obvious, Cale was really in trouble. Nate sadistically hoped there would be no time at the other end.

Cale would have to sit under a seatbelt sign, wiggling for at least another twenty minutes. He’d be physically mandated to not get up.

“Looks like we should have about five, ten minutes. Probably no time to buy anything, sorry. Any reason?” Sid was being all charming. Could he not tell?

Was everyone else oblivious to this?

Cale stood there with glossy eyes and a beet red face looking at Sid, like he was weighing up if he should tell him. Honestly, were Sid’s deduction skills this poor?
Nate purposefully softened his tone, just a bit. He didn’t wanna embarrass Cale. Much. “You need a bathroom at the other end, Cale?”
He was being so kind. So tentative with his wording.

Pleasingly, Cale blushed even more, jiggled his leg a bit as if the point needed further proving. “Yeah, soon.” he breathed and wouldn’t meet eyes with Sid, instead he was looking at Nate with a quiet intensity.

Nate swallowed harshly. Holy fuck, he really hoped Cale wouldn’t make it in time. What would they even do then, if Cale wet himself right here in the middle of the airport?
The cameras would catch it, surely. Then it would be all over NHL socials. Cale would have to walk with spare clothes from his suitcase to the toilet where their whole team could see.
Nate swallowed again.

“Hey don’t worry about it, just a couple minutes then you can go before we board.” Sid had the correct reaction, worried and placing a big hand on Cale’s shoulder.

Cale smiled at their captain with closed lips and a bashful look before looking back at Nate. He supposes Cale might see some solidarity in Nate as this was a very ‘Cale thing’ to happen, and it did happen. A lot.
Nate felt it was his turn to speak. Affirmingly, “You’ll make it,” and he also placed a hand on Cale’s upper arm and didn’t break eye contact as he did so. Cale’s big blue eyes were blinking slowly at him.

Nate quickly dragged his hand away. Wow, he needed to calm the fuck down. He was not getting turned on by this.

Once they’d slid back into normal conversation and finished checking out, Nate could watch as Cale hurriedly walked to him and Sid, thrusting out all his belongings.

“Here, please take them while I, yeah. Dev’s being frisked down or something. Thank you.” Cale said all in one breath, dumping a big load of bags onto Nate’s lap and speed walking away from their group. He was done up like a string, a very pink in the face string. Cale’s hand by his side was twitching as he walked away and if Nate wanted to, he could imagine that’s because he was itching to grab his crotch. Like that one time, on the bus.

What if Cale came back from the toilet with a wet patch? A small one, a leak? Nate would go mental.

“Is that a common thing for him?” Sid by his side was looking with maternal concern where their best defenseman had gone running. Sid was good like that.

“Sorta yeah. He’s just got a small bladder, usually it only means more stopping on the road and stuff. He makes it most of the time.” Nate loved that he could say only most of the time. Because yeah, he had seen Cale come undone. That one time.

“I don’t remember at four nations it ever being much of a problem. Do you think he wants to talk about it with me or the team Canada medical?”
That’s true, maybe Nate slightly overexaggerates here. Cale has a small bladder but he manages it and his public appearance (including to other players) very well. Except when he’s home, with the Avs, he sorta just lets them all know. Unbearably open.

“Honestly Sid, I think Cale would rather die than explain to Sidney Crosby that he pisses himself sometimes. And I don’t even think he talks to the Avs medical team about it, maybe he does. I’ll ask if you want?”

Nate hopes Sid wants him to.

Nate wants any excuse to bring up Cale’s bladder and see his teammate get a little bit jumpy, unnerved.

He once again, is so fucked up.

Sid agrees that maybe Nate should ask Cale if he wants to bring it up with their medical staff then, if Nate asking will make him more comfortable. They sit there and move onto other topics still waiting for Cale to come back and get his stuff before they’ll all board the plane. Nate almost forgets why they’re waiting until a light hand lands on his shoulder.

“Hi, sorry about that.” Cale smiles slightly at Nate as he crouches on the floor, at level with all the luggage, “Do you have like, I think it’s on my green rucksack, my Canada hoodie?”

Cale’s still a bit flushed in the face, but he’s much looser now. So he made it, that’s good. Great.

“Yeah, I think it’s this one?” Nate holds up a green backpack and throws it to Cale. Now that Cale’s standing, he’s got the hoodie and hes…tying it round his waist.
Nate squints. He’s tying it around his waist because on his left side of his crotch there’s a spot there. A wet patcho only about the size of a thumb, but it’s there.

Holy shit.

Cale didn’t make it fully. And now he’s frantically still tying this stupid hoodie around his waist to try and cover it.

He’s quite endearingly embarrassed as he looks up and sees that Nate’s seen. Cale smiles sheepishly and once he’s all covered, he sits beside Nate on the bench and harshly flicks his neck. “Don’t tell Sid.”

Nate smiles and shakes his head, flicking Cale back.

He’s disgustingly hard right now so he has no room to talk. This Olympics might push Nate over the edge if Cale keeps on like this.
