His past is one he’d like to be free of. The mistakes he made, well, he had no control. The world was against him and no one helped him- not the lousy, incompetent people who called themselves heavenly officials nor even his close allies. Not one. If it isn’t his fault, why should he carry those burdens?
So he creates a clone, a vessel which to excise his guilt. Bai Wuxiang, as he creates him, is everything within Jun Wu that is despicable. The part of him that wants more, that wants to destroy, that is lonely.
