Summary
The day Roscumber died, the sunshine yellow castle became covered in the most vibrant purple butterflies.
Fluttering and alive, a mockery of their dead empress, they arrived to herald her home encompassing the structure she spent the most amount of time in. They draped themselves across its eves and roofs with matching wings similar shades to the one who fell, a haunting contrast to the emptiness it now contained.
The castle was silent, eerily so. For it was missing its heart, having ceased to beat, bleeding out before her King in a deal he was still struggling to understand.
