Chapter Text
In a universe where the Oni blood runs fierce, Oni Sen and Oni Chizuru find themselves on opposite sides of a deep divide; Sen with her sense of responsibility toward the Oni realm and Chizuru torn between her human sympathies and the Oni power in her veins.
The sky is mostly calm and atmospheric, partially cloudy and overcast with haze. The sunlight is mostly diffused, and there's often a subtle presence of wind, which enhances the sense of the mysterious battle occurring.
Both of them were in their Oni forms, with white hair, slightly pointed ears, golden eyes, three horns for Sen’s part, and two for Chizuru's part and extraordinary power and healing abilities.
In their Oni forms, they had long enough claws to use as weapons, and Sen had armored her fingers with steel rings.
Chizuru had tied her hair in a low ponytail while Sen was keeping her usual hairstyle that was mostly loose. Both of them had messy, sweaty bangs to frame their faces, but Sen’s longer hair was framing her face even more.
The fight is brutal, and the swords are heavy in the hands as merely carrying those swords is exhausting.
They aim to cut each other, not enough to kill, but enough to make it painful, probably leaving the ground covered in blood as both mostly only aim to defeat the other severely.
Chizuru lunged forward, her blade narrowly missing Sen’s shoulder, but the force behind the strike sent Sen straggling to the rough ground, her body slamming against it. She barely managed to catch her breath as Chizuru's next attack came, breaking down through the air.
With a corrugation of instincts, Sen’s body moved on its own. She rolled out of the way and vaulted to her feet, dodging Chizuru's blow and delivering a blow of her own.
They were both covered in dirt and sweat, their faces impressed clearly with determination and pain. Neither of them was willing to back down.
The rhythm of their fight suddenly began changing. It was no longer about victory but a need to prove something.
In a rare moment of vulnerability, Chizuru found herself momentarily distracted. Sen saw this, and in a second, she struck a sharp blow to Chizuru's abdomen, knocking the air out of her.
Chizuru stumbled, her breath coming out in gasps, and her stomach burned with exhaustion and ache.
In a fraction of a moment, Sen managed to catch Chizuru off guard without any weapon other than her mere hands, planting fists on her cheeks, chin, shoulders, chest and stomach, weakening Chizuru's state and muscles to the point Chizuru had difficulty gathering herself to dodge or return the blows and instead, Sen kept forcing Chizuru to consume the blows.
Chizuru feels her power slip away, and her muscles are weakening due to the pressure and pain. She uses all her left might to kick Sen with her leg, distancing her from herself to buy herself time.
She didn't twitch or bend in pain despite the ache in her muscles. She knows Sen is still in a fine state and knows if Sen attacks again, she will probably overpower her.
Her own healing abilities needed a little more time to strengthen her muscles again.
Before Sen makes the next move to strike again, Chizuru managed to hold both Sen’s wrists and throw her whole weight on Sen, slamming her on the ground with her figure on top of Sen.
In an instance and while Sen was still in shock due to the pain of falling on the hard ground, Chizuru hooked one of Sen’s thighs with her leg, held both wrists of Sen above her head and positioned her elbow between between her neck and Sen's neck to prevent her from using her head to strike her. She extended her free leg back, the top of her feet pressing into the ground, to outspread her weight more evenly and apply more pressure down, making her hold on Sen even tighter and fully positioned her figure above Sen to prevent her from using her free leg’s knee to strike her and prevent her from attempting to flip them around.
Sen tried to free her arms first but Chizuru pushed more force on them to keep them fixated above her head, then Sen tried to move her restrained leg but it was completely clasped in place by Chizuru's leg.
Sen had to free herself from this state on the ground as she doesn't exactly know what Chizuru's next move exactly is.
Chizuru knew she was going to be defeated if Sen attacked her again as she had little power against Sen right now therefore she put all her focus and what is left of her energy to keep Sen on the ground, immobilized.
Sen wrapped her free leg around Chizuru in an attempt to flip them around as her other leg was as useless as a numb leg now, but Chizuru forced her weight even more over her with gritted teeth.
Immediately, to completely prevent Sen from kicking her with her free knee while maintaining the dominant position, Chizuru pinned Sen's free knee with her own free thigh's weight.
Sen was powerful, perhaps even more powerful than Chizuru in the matter of physical strength, but Chizuru was driven by her own things, one of them the will to protect and survive.
Chizuru's body ached, and her stomach muscles trembled from pain. Her vision blurred for a moment, but she couldn't be distracted now. She couldn't falter.
With this position, she could mainten control and balance over Sen while holding her in place and holding a dominant position on top of Sen, keeping Sen restrained, preventing her from gaining the upper hand in the fight.
Sen was completely prevented from being able to push Chizuru off herself or regain her balance easily.
Sen thought Chizuru was going shift to straddle her and strike her like that but as Chizuru kept this body positioning for more seconds, Sen realized Chizuru is fully committed to keeping her restrained, not giving her an opening to retaliate.
