Summary
Five years after A Court of Silver Flames, Azriel’s bond with Rhysand is broken, fractured by years of dismissive remarks and unacknowledged pain. Isolated from the Inner Circle and haunted by his own insecurities, Azriel retreats into his shadows, convinced he is unworthy of love.
Cinder Beltane, a high fae solicitor devoted to protecting the lower fae, attends a Spring Ball in Velaris and catches the attention of the enigmatic Spymaster. The mating bond snaps into place, but Azriel, overwhelmed by fear and self-doubt, flees before she learns his name.
