Chapter Text
Zhang Hao is a huge Kpop fan and if anyone asks for the group that mattered most in his life, his answer would be GOT7. Hao knew his life would have been shaped a lot differently if his friend did not share their performance video with him. So, yes, Hao would proudly admit he was an Ahgase who bleeds green.
However, if anyone asked what Hao’s listening to lately, he knew his girl group song playlist would betray him. Hao’s playlist does not discriminate because it has almost all the good songs, big named girl groups or nugu ones. If it is a good song, it goes in.
“Hyung, do we really have to go?” Yujin asks for the third time. Hao almost feels bad for him, but remembers that if Yujin had it his way they would be sitting in his bedroom watching a soccer game on television. Although Hao loves watching men run around wearing tiny shorts, nothing could make him want to miss this.
“Yujin-ah,” Hao starts, putting down the sign he was holding to place both hands on Yujin’s shoulders. He’s too thin, I should feed him more, he notes. “There is only one debut showcase and I need to be there. You do not. Auntie said you could come with me, but I know she’ll be more than happy to get you an alternate tutor if you would rather do that instead.”
Huffing, Yujin just rolls his eyes. “As if I would allow for you to go see them without me,” he says, sounding petulant, as if just a second ago he was not trying to get out of it.
Triumphant, Hao grabs his sign from his feet and links his arms with Yujin. Yujin huffs again, but he locks their arm close and the two of them make their way through the crowd together.
“Time to see Gyuvin and Ricky!” Hao declares, grinning.
Yujin knocks their shoulders together as he says, “Stop pretending that you only want to see Gyuvin and Ricky, hyung. You need to remember that I caught you crying at everyone’s finale placement.”
It was true. Hao does love the group ZEROBASEONE and as an avid survival group watcher the fans definitely picked the perfect seven members. He is a fan of all of them as a group, but he has eyes for only two boys. See… Hao is what most people would call…
“Are you thinking about Gyuvin and Ricky again?” Yujin demands, eyeing Hao suspiciously.
“No!” Yes.
Yujin shakes his head, but they continue on their way to the venue. Hao still gets lost whenever he tries going somewhere new, especially when he does not have his phone out. Yujin insisted that he would lead them there and Hao readily agreed because he loves watching Yujin be responsible. He’s proud of his student and friend, so sue him.
They do make it to the venue and then they are swept along through the crowd filled with girls and some women. Hao breathes a sigh of relief because they are here and soon enough he would be able to see Gyuvin and Ricky perform along with the rest of ZEROBASEONE, fulfilling their dreams together. Hao knew him and Yujin in this crowd being almost the only two male fans could be weird, but no one pays them any attention so he is pleased to just mix in and know that he would not stand out.
In the middle of singing his part, Hanbin spots him. He was a good head taller than most of the crowd which kind of makes him stick out a bit. But, really, what got Hanbin’s attention was that despite the blinding lights and the thunderous cheers from the crowd, he looked gorgeous. Despite the blazing sun and the hot weather, he is wearing an oversized white shirt and a denim vest. It suits him too well.
Hanbin does not get to stare too long as he moves through the choreo.
The next time Hanbin spots him was during the ment and as a leader he has a certain responsibility now, one of them was to make sure none of his new groupmates (wow, he still loves saying that word) would say something they should not. But he could not help himself as he scans the crowd and easily spots the man again. But this time Hanbin has the chance to see what sign he was carrying and what names were on it.
Gyuvin & Ricky
Congrats on your debut!
For some reason, Hanbin feels something at the pit of his stomach. Luckily he did not need to dwell hard on what it was because he needed to speak. After that he became too busy to even glance again at the fan and his sign, and soon enough that just became a small part of his memory of the day they debuted.
Sung Hanbin, leader of ZEROBASEONE, has now officially debuted.
Wow.
