He laid there for a moment on the ground. His breathing was heavy, but shallow. He managed to sit up, having to straighten one leg due to the pain.
There was that pit in his stomach that just kept gnawing at him. He didn’t know whether he wanted to throw up or eat something. Probably both.
He knew what he really needed, but he was also not an idiot. He had sold out every dealer on the next four blocks. He’d been banned from bars, clubs, even low joints like the one down the street. No one would sell to him anymore. He had crossed the line, and there was no coming back.
But the truth didn’t fight the cravings. The undeniable hunger that sat in his stomach, in his bones, in his head.
He rubbed at his eyes, it was irritated and stung like hell.
“Loki?”
He didn’t react at first, and didn't grant a response either. He honestly thought it was just the wind and poor tricks of his mind.
“Loki!”
He looked in the direction of the opposite end of the long alley. All he could see was the rather large outline of a man. A man who knew his name, he sat there a moment before realizing that that was usually not a very good mix.
