Chapter Text
Hello, and welcome.
If this is your first time in the world of corrupted and corruption, arcana and armor, glassmaking and…wheel-legs?, I recommend you first start with PMD: Shatter. (Don't read further, so as to not be spoiled!)
…obligatory spacer…
Alright, cool.
Welcome back! Here's a quick refresher:
- Pikachu Arc (m). Main character. Human-turned-Pokémon. Was grievously injured upon arriving in the Pokémon world, but has made inroads to regaining his mobility and coming to terms with his new life.
- Quilava Vidri (m). Main character. Glassblower; son of the town blacksmith. Wants to break free of his obligations and childhood home.
- Braixen Lessa (f). Main character. Last survivor of a group of “historians.” Harbors a secret knowledge of and budding proficiency in arcane magic.
- Typhlosion Fierra (f). Blacksmith and primary defender of Pinewood Town.
- Kangaskhan Neste (f). Leads Pinewood Town.
- Ursaring Wojtek (m). Town medic.
- Jolteon Kach (f). Baker; Arc’s friend and host.
- Cyndaquil Flint (f). Vidri’s sister. Training to take Vidri’s place as apprentice blacksmith.
- Eevee Evelin (f). Kach’s niece and Flint’s best friend.
- Krokorok Philo (m). Head of Pinewood Town’s mining efforts. Kach’s good friend.
- Lucario Hope (f). Recent arrival to Pinewood Town. “Emissary.” Seems to be interested in Arc.
Tragedy has struck Pinewood Town, and emergency. Typhlosion Fierra, protector of Pinewood Town, has been killed in a sudden daylight attack by ‘corrupted’ Pokémon. And a visiting emissary has discovered that the ‘corruption’ is spreading—even at the doors. The town and its people must evacuate, now.
Arc and his friends are left to pick up the pieces. In fleeing from the corruption, Arc exhausted whatever power allows him to overcome his paraplegia, and now must prepare for evacuation. Lessa is terrified that her long-held secret—arcana—will be discovered by the “mystics”…with discovery resulting in her execution. And Vidri is still reeling from the loss of his mother—and the too-big shoes everyone expects him to fill.
What hope is there? That which you make for yourself.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy!
