“Have an eye on anyone special today, Mr. Fell?” someone says too close for his liking, and Aziraphale's insides twist as he finds Uriel grinning at him. “Oh, I forgot, you missed the exhibition!”
“More to us, I say.” Duke Hastur turns around, for he has taken a seat in the row right in front of Aziraphale. “I know exactly what I am looking for.”
“Yes, we are aware,” says Uriel with a smirk. “You and Sandalphon both have eyes on the mysterious redhead...”
“Oh?” Aziraphale interjects, his curiosity spiking. Sandalphon and Hastur rarely agree on anything.
“Yes, the one with the rude guardian.” Uriel smiles rather pleased with themselves. “She would not accept any money to show what her omega was hiding under their shift...”
“That’s absurd if you ask me,” says Ligur, taking a seat beside Hastur. “A buyer should be able to see what they are acquiring beforehand.”
Today is the seasonal Omega Auction and all the alphas in the county are ready to take someone home.
