Pulling her out of the well was the calmest he'd felt in three entire years, probably even longer. Until the instant their hands met and his skin touched hers, Inuyasha had almost forgotten the effects Kagome had on him. Before she came back, he only went with Miroku on jobs out of boredom. Now he went out of need to provide for his family, but it was a need that made him secretly giddy.
There was always a sense of anxiety before, too. He hated being that far from the well for too long in fear that Kagome had returned, and he hadn't been there to welcome her but at the same time he daydreamed about what if she WAS there waiting for him? Then, there was the inevitable let down of finding he was still alone.
Everything was different now, though. Kagome had returned to him. She was always back in the village, waiting for him. And on the rare occasions she left him behind, they both knew it was vice versa. They noticed changes in each other in different ways. Kagome saw how patient he was with the twins as they climbed on him like a mountain and tried to grab his ears. She herself had matured too. He no longer saw an insecure girl but a woman who was confident in herself and her feelings, who would never let anything come between them again. Inuyasha felt the same way. Never again would he allow anyone to take her from him or separate them.
But he was still part human, and that came with feelings he couldn't surpress. Just that very morning, he'd been running through the forest, bouncing from tree to tree as he surveyed the area for threats. He landed when he heard voices not far off and saw two men, travelers it looked like, resting on turned over logs as they ate their dinner in front of a fire. "Have you heard of the village nearby?" One man asked, and his friend shook his head. "It seems that the priestess who lives there is a real beauty!" The other man choked on his food.
"R-really?!" He asked excitedly. "Why are we sitting here when we could be enjoying a beautiful woman?!" Inuyasha felt anger begin to rise at the question. He cracked his fingers with his claws at the ready to tear them to shreds.
"Hold on! That's not all! I've heard she's married and, get this, to a powerful half demon! I wouldn't go near her if you value your life!" Inuyasha smirked proudly to himself. 'Damn straight! And he'll kill you for even looking at her wrong, bastards!' He gloated to himself.
"What?! It's unusual enough to hear that of a young priestess to marry but also to a half-demon of all things! Why would a woman like her be with someone like that?! If she is truly as beautiful as you say, then surely she could have any human man she wanted! What strange times we live in!" The first man laughed and agreed heartily. Inuyasha clenched his fist before leaping in the direction of the village. He honestly didn't care what they said about him, he'd heard far worse, but hearing Kagome dragged into it was almost too much to bare. He needed to see her and fast. Nothing else would cure this ache in his chest.

When their relationship turned physical, Kagome couldn't help but notice how tall he'd become or how broad his shoulders were now. His chest and abs were more defined while his biceps were frankly heavenly to feel when she hugged them even through his sleeves and layers, which was as often as she possibly could. Inuyasha saw how well she filled out, too. She had beautiful curves and a softness to her figure.
Her waist dipped perfectly into her hips, and her breasts had grown in size, though he'd only seen them by accident a couple of times before then. Kagome loved to run her hand over his skin, saying it was soft and smooth despite his hard muscles. He would laugh and say that suited her more. "Your skin is like silk, Kagome." He said while they sat together, the only light the fire before them, and the only fabrics either wore was one of the blankets from their shared futon that was covering Kagome's front.
She blushed deeply at the tone of his voice and the look he was giving her with his eyes when she craned her neck to see his face. They were overflowing with sincerity, as if she truly was the most beautiful creature he had ever seen. "You're embarrassing me!" She said with a shy laugh. Inuyasha nuzzled the crook of her neck while the fire crackled in front of them. "It's really starting to get cold, huh?" He nodded against her skin.
"I need to stock up on more firewood before it gets any worse. Food, too, since a lot of animals will be in hiding soon." He saw her shiver slightly and reached for his haori that was carelessly thrown to the floor earlier that night in a moment of passion. He scooted back and laid it over her shoulders. Kagome smiled gratefully.
"Thanks. I appreciate it! What about you, though?" He scoffed at her indignantly.
"How many times do I gotta tell ya I don't get cold like you humans do?" She leaned back against his chest. Maybe it was the demon side, but Inuyasha always ran warm, and it was so nice in times like this. She sighed with a bright, content smile on her face. "You seem happy." He commented.
"Of course I am! I'm here with you, where I belong." She didn't see the deep blush that overtook his face but still knew it was there.
"Kagome?" Inuyasha's voice cut through the comfortable silence they'd been enjoying. She'd been so relaxed that he thought she had fallen asleep for a second. Kagome made a soft humming sound to acknowledge he was heard and blinked her eyes open. "What did you miss about me when you were gone?" She almost wanted to laugh at the sudden question, but the look that bore from his sharp, amber eyes made it obvious he was serious.
"Everything," She answered and then watched his ears twitch with whatever mysterious thought had run through his head.
"Can you be specific?" Kagome frowned at him.
"Where is this coming from? Did something happen?" She asked him gently, a hand touching his cheek. He laid one of his own on it with averted eyes.
"I just heard some travelers talking in the woods today. Seems you're becoming famous, both for your beauty and for being married to a half-demon." She frowned and wondered if she should argue, but the sad look he was sporting made her stop.
"Hmmm... Where to start..." Kagome whispered to herself and moved so that she was facing him. With a glance at his head, she decided to begin there, reaching a hand to rub one of the fuzzy appendages that sat atop it. He blushed at the contact. "Your ears were the first thing I noticed about you and touched." His eyes widened at hearing that.
"You touched my ears then?!" That time she did laugh.
"I couldn't help myself! They looked so soft and cute! And I was right! They are!" His blush darkened before scoffing and looking away.
"Weirdo..." He muttered, but she got the small lilt that suggested he liked it. Her fingers drifted slightly down to his hair.
"Your hair has always been beautiful, like a full moon on a clear night sky." Now she moved to his face and ran a thumb under his eye. "And your eyes, so bright and fierce. I'd lay awake at night and catch them watching me during our time traveling together. How you'd look at me with such a soft expression when you thought I wasn't paying attention..."
"S-so ya did notice, huh?" Inuyasha stuttered, and she giggled at how easily flustered he got sometimes.
"Of course I did! I was always paying attention to you, Inuyasha."
"Kagome," He whispered in hushed reverence before leaning close and kissing her softly. Her lips smiled against his but then pushed him away with her palm.
"Later! I'm not done answering yet!" Kagome took a moment to collect her thoughts. "Which brings me to your lips, actually. Our kiss in the meido ran through my mind every night we were apart, and I'd feel so lonely, wishing with everything I had that I could feel them again." Her hands drifted down again to his shoulders and biceps. "And I missed how safe you always made me feel. From the beginning, even without you realizing it, you always put my safety first. You guarded me and put yourself in danger countless times because of it. You carried me on your back, and I was always so happy to be there."
Finally, Kagome linked her fingers with his and raised his hand to her lips, planting light kisses along his knuckles. "And these hands were the reason, too. These hands that have always fought for me, that can easily tear apart a demon like it was nothing, yet always make me feel loved, safe, and happy. I missed these hands while they were gone, how you sat on my bedroom floor, and held me with them before telling me you'd protect me with your life. I was disappointed when you didn't kiss me that day, to be honest."
"Me too. If you only that damn Sota hadn't interrupted us, I would have, believe me." He saw the small sadness in her eyes at the mention of her beloved little brother who she might never see again. "Sorry." He said with remorse and cupped her cheek. Kagome shook her head.
"No, it's okay. I chose to be with you, and I'll never regret that for the rest of my life."
"You really are a sap, ya know?" She laughed again and gave him a quick peck.
"Shall I keep going? I can go lower..." Kagome teased him with a finger running down his front.
"If you do that, I'm not responsible for what happens afterward."
"Maybe I don't want you to be." He smirked and leaned in closer, brushing his lips lightly against hers before they plunged together in a kiss that roused a deep moan from her throat. His haori was once again discarded and forgotten.
"I love you, Kagome." His voice was low and husky as she pulled down him by the kotodama, and he brought the covers over them. Their lips met again in a slow, sensual kiss as their tongues explored each other's mouths. Their bodies seemed to meld together as they lay under the covers with her arms wrapped around his middle and his hands rested at the base of her skull with care while their tongues performed a sensual dance. He felt her thighs rub against his hips as her arousal rose and her scent spiked in an irresistible way. Meanwhile she felt his erection rub her private area.
Every so often one of them would whine with longing for the other but neither wanted to stop their loving acts. Finally, he breathlessly moved from her swollen lips down to her neck with light kisses, occasionally grazing a fang along her skin, being rewarded with a small moan. "Kagome..." He breathed, moving slightly and causing the blanket to shift when he pressed himself against her wet slit.
Kagome gasped at the feeling of him entering her with ease before he started thrusting in slow, purposeful motions. She could feel the muscles of his back tensing with each movement. "Puppy!" She moaned his secret pet name and it was almost enough to end things right there. "There! That feels incredible!" He sped up slightly, pulling out slowly before ramming himself back in hard. Inuyasha lifted his head to watch as her eyes closed as the feeling consumed her. Her mouth opened, and her moans grew in quantity and volume. He knew it wouldn't be long before she was taken over by her orgasm and he wasn't far behind. "Inu!" She gasped out as her mind went blank. "I'm - I'm about to -!"
"Yeah, me too! Just a little more! Yes, Baby! There! Fuck!" He moaned between thrusts, then kissed her again hard before an explosion of pleasure burst within them and left them crying out loud in ecstasy. They gazed into each other's eyes as Inuyasha lovingly brushed some of her sweaty bangs out of her face. Both smiled blissfully at the other.
"Inuyasha..." Kagome whispered while catching her breath, causing his ears to move curiously before she pulled on his beads again to get his face closer and kissed him sweetly. "Don't ever doubt our love again, got it?!" Her voice went to the bossy tone he knew all too well. Inuyasha let out a laugh and leaned his forehead against hers.
"Yes, ma'am!" He replied, and their lips met yet again, ready for another round of what was sure to be a much more vigorous session.
