Summary
Number One Hero, Kacchan otherwise known as Bakugou Katsuki, gets hit by the quirk erasing bullet during a raid. He's not going to think about the implications of possibly losing his quirk forever. He's certainly not going to think about what he would do if he couldn't be a hero. No, he's going to intern for Japan's one and only quirkless hero, Deku, to catch the villains who thought they could take him out.
A story of two quirkless idiots trying to save the world, themselves and maybe grow up. Just a little bit.

“Kacchan?” Deku whispered quietly from his side of the bed. Katsuki almost groaned. They were sleeping over at Deku’s house and Katsuki was tucked beside him in bed. They’d played hard all day planning their agency and he was tired. He’d been most of the way asleep when he’d heard Deku. Deku was always a pain at sleepovers, he never could get his mouth or his brain to shut up. “Kacchan, are you awake?”
“No,” Katsuki grumbled before turning over and slowly opening one eye at Deku. As expected, Deku was wide awake staring at him with that look that made Katsuki feel like he couldn’t hide anything at all. “What is it?”
“Do you think we’ll be together forever?” He asked in a wobbly voice. “I mean, do you think we’ll stay friends and go to school and then hero school and then make our agency and-”
“Ugh, Deku, you talk too much,” Katsuki groaned, shoving his hand into Izuku’s face. He missed and ended up squishing Deku’s cheek. “Of course, dummy. We’re gonna be the coolest, most awesome hero friends out there. All Might is gonna retire out of fear once we hit the scene.”
“You promise?” Deku asked quietly. Katsuki figured Deku was worried that his quirk wouldn’t be as cool as Katsuki’s. Explosion was a pretty badass quirk and neither of Deku’s parents had any special powers. Deku’s quirk still hadn;t come in, but that was okay. Katsuki knew heroes, and Deku was gonna be one of the best. They’d be fighting bad guys together before they knew it.
“Yeah, I promise. Now go to sleep, nerd.”
“Okay, Kacchan, good night.”

This was absolutely GORGEOUS, i love the way it handled 'Kacchan' and 'Deku' as well as Quirklessness, and i nearly sobbed seeing Toshirou and Yagi-san as names for Izukus kid and dog respectively. Such a good fic for Katsuki tbh, probs one of the only of his ive liked much
