Fondness

Summary:

Seoul’s Greatest Mafioso, Jeon Jungkook, only has one Love and one Weakness throughout his whole Thirty-three-year-old Life. And that’s his Dear Little Sister. The Alpha hasn’t seen her for the last five years. Afraid to have her as a part of his Dangerous Criminal World, he had let her be away from him in Busan, keeping only a distant, watchful eye on her at all times.

But when Death comes to seize his Sister early with her Beloved Mate, the Little Six-month-old Creation they leave behind comes to claim her only Relative as her Guardian. And Jungkook isn’t ready. He can’t accept it. He can’t put such an Innocent Angel in harm’s way.

But then again, Fate has other plans. Somehow, the Formidable Alpha ends up with not only one but two Little Soft Bundles of Warmth and Trouble that he wishes to protect at any cost inside his Home.

Chapter 1: A Tiny Problematic Set

Chapter Text

Jeon Jungkook wasn’t a very Agreeable Entity. The Temperamental Alpha was the least expected person to go along with the flow, follow orders - do something he didn’t want or like. He hadn’t been easy as a child. He had been an even worse teenager. And to say he was an Amenable Man could be considered the joke of the century.

The Man wasn’t acting accordingly to anyone else’s plan but his. He wouldn’t obey anything that wasn’t his way of thinking. The Alpha was born to lead and go in tandem with his preferences. And he had kept that up exceptionally well. He was a Thirty-three-year-old Man of the Underworld that knew where he wanted to go in any and every case - except this one.

The day had come. Jeon Jungkook had hit a dead end. What was he supposed to do? Fate had him by the balls - this time for real. He was who he was. He had done what he had done. But he wasn’t Heartless - not as much as he would like, not when it came to his only Sister, his only Little Beloved Sister, who was very Deceased.

Jungkook had adored her vigorously all his life, from afar for the past five years. Once upon a time, she had been his little, tiny everything. The Alpha used to hold her in his arms as a baby. He was eight, and she was a Newborn. She was adorable, round, and warm, and he was a Rascal capable of breaking everything around him in the blink of an eye - but never her.

He was careful around her - with her. She was the only one - the only little thing that could inflict that desire in him and keep it there unceasing, unwavering. She had taught him to appreciate and cherish soft things - love them. He had loved her - with all his dormant, inactive little heart. And the love had only remained. It was hard to undo it, even when the path he had chosen in life couldn’t deal with such - piddling - feelings

Their Family came from old money. But money wasn’t what he craved. He had discovered he had something of the Devil in his eye. Τhe Potent Redness of his irises could only indicate the blood he wanted on his hands. He was supposed to rule and command - destroy and take. Money couldn’t provide him with that. Only Death, Calamity, and Destruction could. He had been born to create those things - only those things. And it was either that Life or his Sister. He couldn’t have everything. He realized that way too early. One had to be the trivial thing.

And it was the Bloodshed.

He had chosen her to be his Top Priority.

But his Little Flower grew up and wanted to have the same right that he also had in life. She wanted to select her Role in it and live just like everyone else. She had dreams for Love - for a Family - while her Brother’s protective hug wouldn’t let her breathe.

Their parents were long gone. Each other was all they had. Jungkook wouldn’t risk losing that. But no matter how he would strive to keep her unharmed by his side when Youngblood yearned for something, they would get it one way or another. And she got it. It was with one of his Men. In his own House! The moment he found out, his wrath made the whole Residence tremble. No one could stand in his way when he was like that - no one but her.

He would have killed him on the spot, then and there, not caring if his Sister was to discover the Monster that he was. He had kept that part of him hidden well. But that moment was pure Hell. The Alpha couldn’t see clearly. His rage for a Trustworthy Man was clogging his ears. And the horrified expression on his Sister’s face held no importance to him at all.

She had managed to stop him somehow. It appeared that she was the only one capable of pulling him out of that deadly phase. The tears in her eyes had made it. Jungkook had never caused her such pain. And he couldn’t bear it. He didn’t want to be that, the Psychotic Brother, the Evil in her Story. So, he let her go. He let them both go. He told her everything and set her free with the Man she claimed to love.

Love...

What a Tricky Feeling.

Jungkook had given up on her because of it. He didn’t understand it beyond its Platonic Form. Yes. But he could only guess it was something Powerful. It gave his Sister the strength to stand up for her Alpha - to go against her Brother, her blood, for him. She risked for that Man. She loved Jungkook as much as he did. And yet, she had selected that Guard. And Jungkook devoted himself to his path in the Gangland right afterward.

They had gone on their separate ways. And they could never meet again. It had hurt her. She wanted to meet him. She had tried to contact him. But Jungkook was stubbornly remaining out of reach. He had kept an eye on her - always. For Jungkook, that was enough. The Bastard was making her happy. Jungkook didn’t know if the fear of him was what had kept her Alpha decent for five years. But he had stayed worthy of Jungkook’s trust. And Jungkook didn’t want to taint their happiness with his Dark Life.

He regretted it. Now, after five years, after her Corpse was what he had to see for the first time in such a long time, he regretted everything - bitterly. He should’ve held her more. He should’ve gone to meet his Niece. He should’ve stayed by her side to watch her smile fondly at them together, Uncle and Niece. But no. He had made his decisions - she had made hers. In the end, nothing mattered. They didn’t matter. Love hurt more than a bullet under his skin. And he didn’t know what to do afterward, how to react to that Madness that had left him breathless, bleeding, and alone. So alone.

He thought he had everything under control. He had planned everything. She would’ve grown old with her Family. He would Marry and Mate an Omega he would never come to Love. And he would have Heirs that he - potentially - could Love in one way or another. And he would continue to do what he was supposed to do. And that would’ve been all. That would’ve been their Lives Apart.

Lord, unequivocally, had other plans.

Plans that had flung him off the road.

And a Tiny Six-month-old had come to be his heavy Responsibility and Legacy. She was a Little Truth he would rather avoid for as long as possible. A week had passed since her death, and he hadn’t gone to see her once. A part of him couldn’t face her. Would she look like her? Would she grasp his Heart exactly like her Mother had done decades back? Jungkook was primarily afraid of that one alternative - of her ending up having the same impact on him as her. His Heart was already shattered and fragile because of her loss. A glance at that Baby’s eyes or maybe even a whiff of her Sweet, Milky scent could be enough. A second - and she was his Whole Spinning World. Jungkook was sure of it. And he couldn’t risk it. He didn’t want to risk it.

She was under his Custody the instant Jungkook heard of the accident. He had made sure of that and the maintenance of her stability in the everyday routine. A Dozen of his Men were at his Sister’s Home in Busan within the next few hours. And the same Nanny, who had been taking care of her ever since his Sister needed the assistance of one, was there 24/7. Of course, the absence of her Parents couldn’t be helped. But Jungkook struggled to - at least - keep the only person she was the most familiar with aside from them by her side.

And oh, how that was getting harder and harder by the week.

Probably, the Poor Twenty-year-old Omega had thought that this was going to be a few-day-only Problem. But it was nearly week three, and Jungkook hadn’t put his thoughts in order just yet. He was still in Seoul, working harder than ever - killing easier than ever because he had to let it out somewhere. The Fuckers that were nothing but a waste of space in his radar could only be the quick, safe option.

“Give him more money.” Jungkook spat at the phone in a low guttural tone, red irritation evident in every syllable. “Anything. I don’t care.”

The Dominant Alpha had one Pitiful Excuse of Existence right in front of him at the moment - bound in his chair and gagged like some Roast Suckling Pig with the shiny red apple in its mouth. Five of his Men stood stoic witnesses around them in the Dark Dungeon, one closer than the others to hold the Boss’s phone for him on speaker. With Blank Darkness in his gaze, Jungkook kept staring at the sight calmly, his hand only digging the knife deeper into the Pig’s hot abdominal flesh. Muffled screams disturb the air around them. And Jungkook didn’t - quite - enjoy muting the Fuckers. But it was happening for the sake of this phone call. Not that Namjoon would’ve minded. Perhaps, it was - mostly - because of the forming headache that one very Specific Little Difficult Omega was causing to the Mafioso King.

“I’m afraid money isn’t the issue, Sir.”

Jungkook only impaled the knife in and up, further slicing the insides of the Bastard, who doubled in unfathomable pain, shaking uncontrollably against his restraining strings. Muted, pained howls accompanied the intensifying smell of blood and death. The chained Alpha was paying for the other Alpha’s boiling frustration. He would’ve suffered a much less painful death if he had caught Jungkook on a good day. But that one Fucker hadn’t stood that lucky. The Nanny of his Niece wanted to return to his activities. The Male Omega wasn’t a Mother to be with the Infant all day and night. They had a Bond. The Tiny Life was at peace around him. The Omega just had a Life to attend to - to return to. And that was all that he was asking. Namjoon had informed Jungkook already. His Right-hand was responsible for the matter of the Baby exclusively. He had done his research on the Omega. They couldn’t just leave anyone around the Boss’s Niece. His Sister had probably already checked the Omega’s background. However, a Nocturnal Man could do a better job at it.

The Omega was clear as day.

Park Jimin.

He was a hard-working Caterpillar, struggling to manage a part-time job at a Book-café, his studies at the University, and babysitting his Sister’s Baby at the weekends. He was balancing everything pretty well. He had the potential to become the Butterfly he had always dreamed of becoming after gaining his qualified Teacher Status in two years.

Of course, Jungkook’s dark schemes were putting that dream on hold. The Twenty-year-old Big Dreamer was caged with his Little Niece in his Sister’s Home. No part-time jobs. No classes. No nothing. It was only until the Hurting Alpha could put his shit together. It was only until Jungkook was sane enough to meet that Little Thing. But the weeks were passing - quickly and effortlessly. And Jungkook began to think that, perhaps, he would never be ready to face that Creature. Perhaps, it was better to send her away to a Family that would always adore and love her unconditionally. He could keep an eye on her from afar. And that would be it.

The Omega would be free.

He would be free.

But there was this part of him - this tiny yet insurmountable part of him - that was eating him, tearing him apart from deep within. It was screaming at him not to make such a fatal mistake - not again. If History were to repeat itself, he would never be able to live with himself. If he were to throw away the most Precious, Tiny Being his Heart could ever come to seek, he would never be okay with continuing with that Violent Life.

“He wants to return to his studies no matter what.” Namjoon went on with the same excuses. It was always the same thing that, that Omega would demand. School. School. And School. Jungkook was equally sick of it and understanding of his zeal. “He can’t waste-…”

But Jungkook was also an Alpha of thin patience. In the blink of an eye, with crimson anger, he had plucked the cloth off his Quarry’s mouth, taken the knife out of its nasty, bleeding slit, and then shoved it like the Devil in the Screaming Man’s right eye until everything stopped and death claimed.

Namjoon knew better than to cross that threat. He had gotten quiet, waiting for his Boss’s command, which came soon enough right after.

“Leave it.” Jungkook felt hot blood running down his face. And he let it, welcoming it. His breaths were short and heavy from fury and adrenaline. But the bubbly energy that rushed within him - through his every vein, filling his vibrating core - kept him Ecstatic and Commanding. “I’ll handle him.”

Namjoon was too Sophisticated and Meek to persuade the Persistent, Uncompromising Omega. Vocal coercion wouldn’t work with that Strong-headed Little Thing. But Jungkook could make corporeal coercions work with anybody. Inflicting Fear was Jungkook’s magic card.

It was the reason no one could deny a Deal with the Devil.

˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚✮

The same night found Jungkook in Busan. The Alpha was Spontaneous like that. If he had set up his mind on something, he had to execute it immediately. He didn’t like leaving tallies. For him, it was now or never in every situation.

It could also be called Impatience.

Or warm Anticipation.

Loveless years could have such an effect on a Lonely Heart.

It was easier to decide under pressure. He didn’t like it. He wasn’t used to it. But it was effective. He had to admit it. It had forced him to at least meet with the Problem instead of running away from it.

And the idea of leaving her was also becoming more and more antipathetic. The only thought that occupied his mind the most throughout the whole trip was her appearance. Would she be a Mini Version of his Sister? Would she end up afflicting him the way his Sister had done with a single stare?

They were getting closer to their destination. Jungkook knew because he had almost taken that path three weeks ago to get to that parentless little pup. Right after he had come across the lifeless bodies of her Dear Parents, the Alpha had been in the backseat of the same SUV, about to enter that one-way road and meet her. But he had changed his mind, turning back to Seoul instead.

Now, he had made up his mind. There was no turning back. The two Black, Heavy Vehicles slid down that road, and the Resolute Alpha let it happen. Rich Vegetation surrounded everything, making Jungkook’s agitation grow within an air of strange expectancy.

After half a minute, they were there. At the end of the road, the two-story, cozy Home of his Sister came into view right outside his tinted window. Small it was, at least to the eyes of a Man that was used to nothing less than a Palace. But, to an Alpha like Jungkook, it was clear how Wealth, Luxury, and Palaces couldn’t offer happiness. Without his Sister in their Home, every wall had appeared colorless to Jungkook these past five years.

So, Jungkook knew. He could sense how every wall inside that House across him had a special meaning filled with glee. It was why he needed a moment and hesitated when the door opened by one of his Men, who bowed respectfully to him, waiting. This wasn’t just a Home. This was a Sanctuary, a Holy Place. How could Jungkook enter it? Tarnish it with his Filthy Presence? With what Audacity?

Suddenly, his shoulders became heavy with the uncountable weight of his Sins. However, Jungkook sucked it all in and stepped out proudly. He had been an Unashamed Sinner all his Life. He knew how to live with it. He was used to allowing his inhibitions to bother him. But it could only be a moment. Then, he would let the wind carry them away. Jungkook headed up the stairs of the front porch, another Man opening the main door of the House for him.

It came like a hard slap across his face - the scent in the air. It hit him crudely, compelling him instantaneously to a new stop. One quirky eyebrow stood up as the Temperamental Alpha began to ponder possibilities. Should he knock? Announce, somehow, his Presence to the Adult Omega? It would’ve been a decent thing to do. The place reeked of Calmness, Sweetness, and Milk divinely. Elements that an Honorable Alpha, who respected himself, should never cross and dismiss as less because they were far from that.

Omegas were Creatures that were designed to give life. Such a Celestial Gift should never be treated without unparalleled respect. Jungkook had always been nothing but a Respectful Gentleman to them, whether they were Sluts willing to warm his bed or Mates of the Fuckers he was erasing from the face of the Earth. He had raised himself to be that kind of Man. His Sister had also taught him to be that Man. Every Omega was somebody’s Sister, Wife - Mother. He couldn’t just trample those Saint Roles.

And, perhaps, it was that way of thinking, that Courteous Mindset, the reason that kept him Unperturbed by the lack of his Sister’s scent in the air. It wasn’t. A Primal, Hidden instinct within him knew the truth. That Unmated Omega had marked his Dear Sister’s Home as his. He had turned it into his Territory. And yet, Jungkook couldn’t feel angry or upset, furious or destructive. All Jungkook could feel was utter serenity and satisfaction. The Alpha wanted to applaud and congratulate, wag the tail - that he didn’t have - and give his whole Empire to that one Omega - to scent, mark, and take.

Anything.

Everything.

He didn’t know it yet. But he was falling into a trap without an ounce of awareness. He stepped in - like a Moonstruck Evil. And the door closed behind him. But he didn’t notice. He couldn’t. That Mellow Scent of Jasmines and Milk guided him blindly through the House and up the stairs. The Vibrant colors on the walls, Happy Pictures, Soft Plush Stuffed Animals scattered all around, a Baby Swing, and a Pink Playpen in the living room - nothing gained his attention. Nothing could distract him from his aspiration. Not even the desire to know his Dead Sister’s Home.

Hypnotized.

He must have been.

He couldn’t remember how. But his legs had carried him upstairs, straight to the room at the end of the hall that had the door left ajar. Gentle Light was coming out of it in a thick line, and it was crazy, the Alpha knew. But that Soft Light wasn’t just scaring the Darkness of the hallway away. The Dark Fog was slowly dissipating from inside him as well.

“Is my Love tired?”

A brisk, high-pitched voice chirped from the other side of the door, pampering suddenly. It was uplifting and carefree, airy and sugary. It was rousing and electrifying, a heavenly melody contrasting to anything Jungkook had ever heard. It moved his Alpha up-front, quieting to hear more. It spoke to him in a foreign, appealing language. His Heart chose to pick up an unexplainable, peculiar rhythm in his chest. And Jungkook didn’t know what was happening within him, what gears were stirring. But the way that voice made every single muscle in his body unclench and relax made him realize how tired, too, he was. He had been - all his Life.

“Is my Love ready to sleep? Shall we sleep?”

This was bumpier, with more energy. More Love. It was the middle of the night. Only the Love of a Maternal Figure could stand as loving - could bear such patience for a Tiny, Defenseless Soul. And Jungkook wanted to see - to feel, to obey. To him, those little words could gift him his absent sleep. All he would need was someone like him to lull his Soul.

Him.

Jungkook dared to push the door open, palm sprawled against the wooden surface tentatively yet decisively. It happened gradually - lethargically so. He didn’t want to disrupt and harass. But he also had that unbeatable urge to observe and absorb the scene better.

A Siren and her Baby, they had to be. What else could describe those two Enthralling Beauties? They had eyes only for each other. And Jungkook felt like he was trespassing - like he was witnessing things he shouldn’t. Like he had to leave. But his feet stood firmly on the pink carpeted floor, committing his first offense against that Little Set by staying.

He had a few seconds before they caught a whiff of him. It was enough - enough time to not miss their smiles and their fondness from where they were standing before the closed window doors several meters ahead of him. And he was wrong. They weren’t Sirens. When they turned their heads - one after the other, the Tiny One after its Mother slowly - the attack was one of Golden Halos and white, blessed Wings straight to his Heart. Angels they were. But Jungkook was the Big Bad Demon. Ready to taint and abduct until the Fall.

He didn’t know what kind of first impression he gave to that Little Blonde. All he knew was that his facial expressions were - usually - detached from his inner state of mind. If he was looking Formidable, it wasn’t intentional. But that had to be the cause of what made the Omega pull the Baby protectively against himself to hide it in his neck. The Pink Blanket around it fell and shielded it warmly from view. And an uncontrollable side in the Alpha wanted to see that Protective Little Thing going further down that road, baring his teeth menacingly at him to defend his Tiny Tot.

He didn’t perceive it. But his eyebrows went up with unuttered interest, head lolling curiously at his right. Indirectly, he was provoking the Young Omega to make his move, to challenge him the way the Growling Alpha within him wanted him to.

The Omega behaved smarter than that. A faint, suspicious scowl was what he showed, tender palms tightening carefully around the Infant across his chest. However, nothing else indicated that the Omega was afraid or hostile to him more than this. His scent remained Sweet - yet, it gained a tad bit of displeasure and vexation for reasons that flew right past Jungkook’s head in the heat of the moment.

When the Little Irritable Sweetheart opened his pretty mouth to speak, everything cleared tidily in front of him. Sinful lips traveled down. A milky cheek landed on top of the Baby’s blanketed head. And eyes like the Stormy Sea became strictly teasing.

“Your Uncle is almost a month late.”

The Omega’s mouth stated, supposedly for the ears of the Baby only. But that Blue was staying with the Alpha, piercing him and willing him in his spot. That. That was a bold-ass provocation right there. Yet, the Alpha was only drawing simmering satisfaction from it. And it was outrageous and ridiculous - outrageous how that hedonistic voice made his insides flip when it referred to him, ridiculous how he could only stand there taking, basking in that Omega’s refreshing air of cheekiness and sweetness.

No one had ever dared to be like that with him besides his Sister. And now, in front of that Omega, he realized how dearly he had missed it - her along with it. Maybe, that melancholic emotion had made the instant acceptance of that Omega possible.

Again, the Alpha within him could feel the truth - a truth that was deep and frightful. Nevertheless, the Little Omega had nerves and bravery. He dared to step forward. And Jungkook almost wanted to step back. If he was bending like that with three meters between them, the Alpha couldn’t imagine what closeness with those two Soft Balls could do to his Turbulent Wolf. But he couldn’t move. That Divine Creature spoke again. And Jungkook noticed only then how his every breath had become compatible with his.

“Shall we forgive him?”

The Fall happened. Jungkook was sure his eyes were bleeding Red and not at all unreadable anymore. A Dark Desire like the one that surfaced couldn’t be disguised into indifference. Yet, Jungkook thought his tight lips and flared nostrils were doing a pretty damned good job at - at least - trying.

The Omega stopped a respectable step away from him. His Niece was still a Quiet, Protected Bundle in his arms. And questions that mattered could only pass from the back of his head. Jungkook couldn’t keep up with that Omega. How did he even know who he was? How could he go from irritation to approval within mere moments? The Alpha didn’t care. In the end, the only thing that bothered his mind was the tactile gap between them. His Wolf wanted him closer. So, Jungkook played along, following the Omega’s lead.

His chest puffed with cocky confidence. His fearless legs erased the remaining space between them. And his mouth dropped the response right in the Omega’s face softly. “You shall.”

It was a mistake.

Stepping that close, taking part in the Omega’s Little Game - Jungkook was a Big Boy responsible for his actions. Every decision had consequences. The leap of faith he had to make with that Certain Omega was high - too high. And the gust of Jasmines confirmed it as it also promised more responsibilities to his shoulders. It was Trouble - both Jasmines and Milk. But it was also the Balance he had never thought he needed up until then - Sweetness and Calmness. Those Sedative Fields of Flowers and Milk had to be the missing piece in his Violent Life.

And again, he was Selfish - again, he wanted to keep the Omegas for personal gain. But what could he do when he was a Man of convenience, used to taking?

Shocked surprise wandered in that Blue gaze. And Jungkook studied it attentively, craving to cause some trouble to the Omega as well. He could see his Crimson in that Blue as brilliant eyelids blinked. But Jungkook quietened his Impatient Wolf to see the Little Bird’s reaction without his influence.

“Then…” The Omega rocked the Baby once in his arms, more to soothe himself and his nerves other than that Silent Angel. “In that case,” He stopped and turned the Tiny Bundle around tenderly. “This is Nali.” The Omega introduced with a fond smile on his rosy lips. “Your Niece.”

The last part was unnecessary, yet much-needed. Jungkook needed that straight averment. He couldn’t quite stomach the idea that he was there to meet his Niece - that he had one, to begin with. Every statement possible helped him mentally to swallow it. Though, when he found it in him to take his eyes off the Omega, he forgot the World for yet another time. His eyes settled on that Little Hellion with fierce curiosity. And his every assumption got confirmed. That Baby could have his everything as his Sister could.

That Baby, Nali, had the same Hazel eyes as his Baby Sister - two Round and Awe-inspiring Portals to her Little Pure and White Soul. They had, of course, the potential to change in the next seven years. But Jungkook doubted they would. She was the spitting image of her Mother. Her name was the symbol of Rebirth. Lily was the Flower the Virgin Mother received from Archangel Gabriel with the news of the Messiah’s arrival. Nali in front of Jungkook was the symbol of History rhyming itself. The Alpha had a second chance to do right by her.

He would.

“Who named her?” It was nothing but a low hum. She was calming him in the same way the Omega that had her in his arms had - Jimin. The Plan had changed. The boat would have them both.

“Jia.” The Omega answered right away, mimicking his low tone.

“Good.” It was good. His Sister wanted to name her that and not her Father. His Poor Sister didn’t even get to see that happening. Another pang bothered his Heart. She just wanted to see, who knew, how many other things, and couldn’t now.

Jungkook should’ve been by her side to give her the World.

Regrets. Again.

“Do you want to hold her?” The Omega asked as softly and as carefully as before. The question pulled him out of a very dark place. And as his eyes continued to look down at the Smallest Sweetheart of the two, his thoughts got a little lost in the Ocean. Jimin was a Beautiful name as well. The Omega was wise - just like his name was promising.

“No.” He had to pass with a tight smile. If that Honey Ball began to cry right then and there in his arms, his decision to take her could get adulterated in an instant.

And he couldn’t risk that.

“Another time.”

The Omega didn’t press it. He was indeed a Bright Little Thing.

“We can talk downstairs,” Jimin said, tucking her in his chest again. “I’ll just put her to sleep.”

Jungkook searched to meet that Cyan Blue again, a last small dose for the road before he turned to head where the Queen had demanded him to go.

˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚✮

“I can’t come with you.”

The Omega was more confused than anything, eyebrows knitted and arms hugging himself from the Chaos of it all. He looked small across the Alpha on the couch, tense. And Jungkook knew he appeared the exact opposite. His posture was comfortable and confident in his seat at the left of the Omega, legs wide apart and firmly set on the ground. The Omega was almost trembling in his presence. And the same peculiar part in him from before wanted to soothe and comfort him.

This Omega wasn’t like the one back in his Niece’s room. He wasn’t Frisky and ready to bite. The confusion wasn’t a - downright - negative feeling. It showed Jungkook that he was considering the proposal in one way or another. It was strangely pleasant. And Jungkook knew precisely the reason behind it.

Park Jimin was alone. He had no other Relatives alive, no Friends - no Boyfriend. With his Parents dead, he ended up becoming a little bit antisocial. He buried himself in his Books, and his studies were all that mattered to him. Now, Jungkook was offering him to have that back, at a better University in Seoul, with Nali by his side. But the picture had to include him in it as well. They were going to live in his Home.

“And why is that?” The Alpha sat the picture with him and his smiling Sister on the table right beside the arm of his seat. His Sister had Pictures of them together around the House. It was only logical for Jimin to know who Jungkook was. Jia was a talkative person. And Hell, it was hard to make her shut up about the things she liked sometimes.

The Omega lowered his gaze. He mulled over the question. But nothing made it past his gaping lips. He knew the truth. He was a Smart Little Thing. He had nothing but the University bounding him to Busan. Jungkook could hear every thought. He knew everything about that Boy’s life. But he had to play it ignorantly. The Omega’s income was going to be heavy. His studies were going to be better than they were. What else could he possibly want?

“I don’t know you. I-…” Jimin seemed embarrassed, cheeks on fire and everything. His eyes weren’t meeting his. And Jungkook’s Wolf was finding that as submissive as it could get. And to an Alpha, that was something indescribably inviting. “Why do you want to get into all this trouble just to have me there?”

Safety.

Trust.

Jungkook was an Unknown Man. And Omegas didn’t go well with unfriendly and dangerous new environments. They needed something to help them build that trust for themselves. But that was hard. How could the Alpha make an Omega feel safe and protected? All Jungkook knew was how to intimidate.

“I could find a Better Nanny.” Jungkook thought he should start with Honesty - the foundation for Trust. The Omega’s eyes had snapped at him at that. He wasn’t exactly sure what that Little Trouble wanted him to say to convince him. But those two Glassy eyes made things to him. Jungkook wanted to at least try for him.

“That’s true.” Jungkook could find countless Candidates with years of experience on their backs and with nothing on their programs but his Niece. “But that’s not what Nali needs.”

The Omega’s eyes got big and bright. And Jungkook thought he liked to have that Little Sweetheart’s attention all to himself. “Nali needs you.” I do too. “She has already lost the two most important people in her life. Don’t let her lose another one.”

Emotional Jasmines turned salty, ready to cry. The tip of the Omega’s nose was pink. But Jimin held on. And that wasn’t something easy for an Omega. Jimin had most likely cried about it more than Jungkook had - and it was about his Dear Sister! But Jungkook was made to tolerate. Jimin was made to feel and console. That was just how their Biology worked.

“And what about you?” The Omega asked as a tear escaped and fell on his lap. His voice was tiny and full of care. Jungkook couldn’t consider the question as a breach of his privacy. “I never wanted to leave her in the first place. All I wanted to do was to return to my classes because a month is a lot of time. And I’ve considered taking her with me. So, if you don’t want her, if you don’t want the burden of a child that isn’t yours, I get it. And I-…”

The Omega looked down, feeling once again embarrassed. He had invested time into this, thinking things through - what he wanted, how far he was willing to go for that Baby. Jungkook stayed silent to listen to what the Omega had in mind. “I’m an Omega. I can take her.”

The statement fell like a bomb. But Jimin’s eyes were full of certainty across Jungkook’s. “You seem like someone who can make anything possible.” Jimin’s eyes had hot desperation. And Jungkook couldn’t even sit and enjoy how that last clause made his ego boost a tiny bit. The Omega was going too fast, and it was confusing to him. “Make me her Guardian. If you can transfer me to a better University, an adoption paper has to be nothing to you.”

Not many things in life could shock Jeon Jungkook. However, that Omega seemed to have the Gift. In the entrance with his scent, upstairs with his voice, now with his words. And something told the Alpha that the Omega had more cards in his sleeve. This was only the beginning. How could he leave such an Extraordinary Creature? How could he abandon his blood and go on with his life? The Omega loved her. He would take good care of her. It was a good loophole. But his mind wouldn’t let him sleep at night. They were his.

“But I’m here.” Yes. It took him almost a month. But he was there now. He wouldn’t ever back up from a decision. That was not who Jungkook was. “And I can assure you that I’m not the type of Man that changes his mind, Darling.”

Again, that redness on those white cheeks threatened to drive Jungkook mad. His nails jabbed the cushion of the armchair’s arms to control his Animal. But his eyes remained piercing and intense, ogling that Faultless Deity who was lost for words.

“She is Mine.” Jungkook leaned forward, resting his elbows at each knee - lacing his fingers as a Stern Man would. Jungkook was Stern and Strict. But he was also Generous with his People. With the Moon Queen in front of him, he could only have no boundaries with his Gifts. He could only be a Doting Server. For a Life, if the Goddess would let him.

“But I’ll make her Yours too.” He nodded, raising his eyebrows in reassurance and raw emphasis. “Ours.” Jungkook stood up without missing how the Poor, Little Thing didn’t follow his movement.

The Alpha could give him time to digest it.

But the Omega had only until the morning.

They were leaving tomorrow. Jungkook wasn’t the type that would walk out of his decision. The Child and the Omega were his decision. So, he walked out of the living room instead.

A Pure Alpha would sink with his Ship or thrive in Golden Times.

This was life.

This was Jeon Jungkook.
