Summary
Obito Uchiha has formed an unfortunate acquaintanceship with retrograde amnesia. Sakura Haruno, despite being the most socially aware child in her genin team, is like her two peers in being still largely friendless, and in dire need of a confidante.
While Sakura might drool over a chance to unravel an amnesiacs’ mysterious origins, and reignite some past relationships along the way - it’s chock full of romantic potential - she's got the slight issue of being twelve, and therefore distractable. There is nonsense happening in her team and Sakura is convinced she has the answers.
As Obito tries to jog his memory without accidentally killing internationally reknowned war heroes in a fit of rage, Sakura must learn that there are some things in life that should be left well enough alone. The author of course is not referring to Obito’s amnesia - he needs all the help he can get - but instead to a certain boy’s love for another certain boy, and that certain boy’s love for her.
