NOTE: I never imagined this would be multichapter. It was supposed to be a silly one-shot showing the Wilson family reacting to a surprise. Instead, this story took a winding journey that examines important questions: How do you define family? How do you honor the past (including people you will never meet) while still moving forward? What does it look like to make amends without tearing yourself to pieces?

Bucky taking Hydra money and put them into good use. Had me in tears when I saw Bucky reaching out and providing for Riley’s family anonymously. The idea of honoring your partner’s past and how it helped shaping them into the person they are today.
“I ain’t giving up you for that matter, either. They can pry both from my cold, dead fingers.”
Also I love this line so much😭and how they work through arguments with understanding and love
