“Because you’re”—Cao Weining frantically gestures between them—“you know!”
“We’re everyone’s relationship model,” Wen Kexing explains.
“That’s not great news for everyone,” Zhou Zishu says mildly. “We got together because Lao Wen stalked me until I finally developed Stockholm syndrome.”
“I dispute that characterization.”
Cao Weining looks between them, eyes wide. “So you think I should—?”
“No,” Zhou Zishu and Wen Kexing say in unison, though he imagines for quite different reasons.
“Why don’t you just try some simple romantic gestures to show you care?” Zhou Zishu says. He can’t believe he’s stooped as low as giving relationship advice to teenagers, but he might as well go all in now. “I’m sure you know what she likes.”
