Chapter Text
Izuku woke up to a loud bang, followed by a crash. Rubbing his head, he groaned as he mentally and physically prepared for the day. Throwing on one of Tomura’s hoodies, he made his way to the bar where all the noise was coming from earlier. Izuku rubbed his eyes, and when he looked up, he saw huge pans filled with baked goods, all of them messed up in a different way, sitting atop the bar.
Popping up from behind the bar, Toga flashed Izuku a wide grin, and started singing,
“Heeeey bossss! Lookie who woke uuuuuup!”
Confused, Izuku turned his head to see Shigaraki standing in the corner, a smile on his face.
“Happy League anniversary Izu. I can’t believe we have all been together for so long now,” he said.
Looking around more, Izuku could see Spinner and Twice blowing balloons, and Dabi was helping Toga out with the food, acting as a personal oven.
When Izuku gave him a surprised look, Dabi sighed,
“Don’t ask.”
Also behind the bar stood Kurogiri, mixing drinks for everyone.
“It’s now the League’s fifth anniversary,” he said, “I can’t believe how far you all have come.”
When Izuku was a young boy, All Might had told him he couldn’t be a hero, but when he met Tomura, the older boy showed him how a quirkless kid could become more, and Sensei bestowed upon him a quirk.
However, the process was risky, and it left Izuku’s memory a little spotty, and sometimes he hallucinated. It was fine though, as everyone was supportive of him, and they all took care of him, especially Tomura. They both shared a room together, and in between plotting the hero’s demise, they had intense make out sessions which would end with them cuddling. It was heaven.
Coming back to reality, he saw Mr. Compress run across the room holding several pounds of hero merchandise in a large bag.
Confused Izuku turned to Shigaraki, who had on a smug grin. Izuku sighed,
“What’re you up to this time?”
“Oh,” he said, his grin growing impossibly larger, “I’m glad you asked dear Izuku.”
He led Izuku outside behind the bar, where an enormous fire pit lay.
“I thought it would be a ton of fun if we could burn some of that shit as a fun activity. I thought it would help you get over some of your trauma if we did it together as a family,” Tomura said, speaking softly.
“After what they did to you,” he said angrily, “you deserve this Izu.”
Tomura planted a kiss atop the younger boy’s head.
“They’ll all pay eventually, but for now, this is what we can do.”
Izuku looked up and smiled, eyes a little watery, before he remembered he was a villain, and villains don’t cry. Crying was for heroes.
Making their way back inside, they both plopped down on the couch. As he was about to sit down, Izuku’s world went white. Suddenly, he was thrown back into a dream, or a long ago memory, he didn’t know if it was either.
The heroes busted into the hideout, prices of debris flying everywhere. Tomura shouted for Izuku to go and run, which he did hesitantly, not wanting to leave Tomura behind. But, when he saw the older boy’s expression, one filled with pain, and loss, Izuku turned and fled.
All Tomura’s life people had left him, abandoned him, died. All he wanted was someone to keep forever, and Izuku was desperate to be that person.
The best way to be there for him in the long haul, was to leave him now, so neither would be captured.
Sadly, that dream was cut short, as All Might stood before him, looking just as high and mighty as he did on the roof where he crushed the young boy’s dreams. Not wanting to hesitate, Izuku powered his body up 50%, and sent a punch straight into the hero’s injury.
Stumbling back, All Might looked surprised, and his expression was a mix of both physical and emotional pain.
“Young Midoriya,” he said arms extended, “it’s me-“
Izuku sent a kick to the older man’s legs, and sweeped his feet.
“I know who the hell you are,” he said growling, “you're the one who helped make me this way. Thank you,”
There was no hint of sarcasm in his voice, and he was truly thanking the hero. Without him, Izuku never would have met Tomura, and the League, his new family.
Stepping away from All Might, who looked shaken up, Izuku rushed down the familiar corridors and up onto the roof, where he was face to face with Eraserhead.
“Midoriya!” the hero shouted, “Come on let’s go, have you seen All Might?”
Izuku was very confused, it was like they wanted him to escape with them. As if. He would rather die than live with heroes in their corrupt society. He and the League, with Tomura right beside him, would fix everything and make it right.
“Like hell I'll be going with you!” he shouted while powering up his powerful quirk.
Eraserhead looked confused, and barely managed to dodge the kick coming at his head at full force.Trying to find a way to escape was difficult, especially with the man’s capture weapon trying to do its job.
“I don’t know what they’ve done to you Izuku, but I promise we’ll help fix you,” Eraserhead shouted.
Izuku didn’t need help from pathetic heroes, so taking a leap of faith, Izuku took an actual leap off the building. Thankfully, he could see Kurogiri’s portal down below, waiting for him to fall in it. He was about to go through, when All Might caught him.
He took the boy screaming and kicking away, where the heroes had brought him to a hospital. They tried to poison Izuku’s mind by telling him horrible lies about Tomura and the League, but he was strong-willed, and when they tried to brainwash him with lies, he spat in their faces and cursed them.
For some reason, All Might looked hurt the most, along with Aizawa, who was trying to convince Izuku that he was his teacher at UA. What a load of bull.
At night he would cry for Tomura to help him, and to save him, but his cries went unanswered. As hurt as he felt, he knew Tomura would be looking for him. He was his family.
One morning Aizawa came in and pulled a chair next to him.
“You keep calling for Tomura Shigaraki, why is that? Don’t you know that he was the one to take you and brainwash you into thinking you were a villain? After the attack at the training grounds he was supposed to take Bakugou, but took you instead. You were trapped there for a couple of months.”
To that, Izuku only laughed.
Did they think he was stupid? A stupid naive child?
“Tomura is my family, I love him. I’ve known him since he rescued me after the end of school. I don’t know where you get that shit, but you're the one whose brainwashing.”
That night, Tomura came for him, and they found a new place to live with all of his family. Izuku had never been happier. That night was one of the best of his life.
After that, the heroes tried to find him still, but the League was better at hiding now.
“I don’t ever want to lose you again,” Tomura said one night while they embraced in bed, “You don’t belong to those heroes, you belong here, with me,”
He brushed a peice of hair from Izuku’s face, and cupped the boy’s cheeks with a finger raised. He leaned in for a light kiss, but Izuku deepened it, and Tomura’s hand, with one finger hovering over, gripped the young boy’s hair harshly and passionately.
Izuku would never want to be anywhere else.
Then Tomura looked up, and he was covered in blood. A large pipe was jammed in between the boys ribs, and he collapsed on Izuku. Tomura leaned next to Izuku’s ear and whispered,
“It’s the heroes. They’ve done this. Don’t let them hurt me Izu. Don’t let them. Don’t let them. Don’t”
Tomura’s body became heavier and heavier, and his seemingly frail body felt like it weighed a ton. All the blood from him seeped on Izuku drowning him as the bodies of Spinner, Twice and Mr. Compress floated by. Then, Izuku would fall until he was chained up at the hospital again.
There, the heroes would take turns beating Toga, Dabi and Kurogiri until they were unrecognizable.
Every flashback ended with this dream. No matter what would happen in the flashback, it always ended the same.
Always.
