Summary
It was just hard to put on a brave face when it felt like Sora could feel every square inch of pressure resting squarely on his shoulders. How could he save the station in a few hours, when they’d been trying for years?
The reef spread out before them on the large screen, bubbles floating up every so often; it was a tapestry of bright colors: mustard yellows and bright red peaks of cauliflower corals intermixed with vibrant lionfish and schools of rainbow-and-silver triggerfish, complete with the freshly risen sun splashed across across the sandy depths of the sea floor in wide rivers of light.
If they failed, today, Sora thought, it could be his last chance to see it.
So...they just wouldn’t fail. That was what he would choose to believe.
