Summary
As the official rival of the other, Berdly was expected to know a lot about the human. And he played that part spectacularly! What they found humorful, what got under their skin. Their favorite foods, and what they would refuse to eat. How they stood and how they walked. Their mains in Super Smashing Fighters, their favorite and least favorite biomes in Minecrap. Berdly could name any of it. He had to know it, if he wanted to fiercely compete and effectively irritate them.
And the way Kris was standing, completely straight rather than having a slouch. The way they stepped into the classroom, as if unfamiliar to using legs. How their neck turned and glanced around the room, as if they had never stepped foot in this room before in their life.
It was nothing like Kris.
Or: Berdly, somehow, puts together Kris' SOUL situation. And sort of figures out his feelings for the human in the process.

Jotaro just barely managed to let go of his suitcase in time to catch his mother when she came speeding down to greet him, her arms wrapping tight around his abdomen and squeezing hard enough to make him loose his breath. He distantly heard Noriaki calling out his own greetings behind him, but in his exhaustion, he only just managed to catch the warm smile on Holly’s face as she beamed up at him with nothing but open affection.
“It really has been so long since I’ve seen you,” she said. “Welcome home, honey.”

Summary
On a whim, Jotaro pulled his clothes out. He neatly folded up the old turtlenecks, patted down the dusty sweaters, and smoothed out the creases of his off-white slacks, pulling each of them off the hangers one by one. Once they were stacked together in a clean pile, he set them down in the corner of the closet and pushed the empty hangers off to the side. Carefully, Jotaro spread Noriaki’s clothes out to cover up the blank space that remained.
It looked neater now. Complete. And then he understood.
As Jotaro looked over the rewritten remains of their closet, he finally realized that he was getting ready to die.
