Harry Potter is screwed.
With a penchant for Firewhiskey and late-night parties, he had no idea that he would find a handsome man in his bed the next morning, when he wakes up; already late for his first day at St. Mungo’s Hospital for Magical Maladies as a Healer trainee. He also had no idea that his mom’s ex-boyfriend would have an axe to grind, the most eager girl would follow him around like she’d been hit with a Permanent Sticking Charm, or that the handsome man in his bed that morning was his boss, Tom Marvolo Riddle, Head of Spell Damage.
Like I said, Harry Potter is screwed.

“I- What?” Harry widens his eyes, making himself look appropriately appalled at the suggestion. “A thief? What do you mean?”
“Do cut the pretense, Harry,” Riddle says, and Harry hates the way he shivers when the other man says his name as his hand curls just a bit lower on his back, just shy of inappropriate. “We both know what you are.”

Harry lifts his saber higher. “Stop,” he commands. “Or I’ll cut you down where you stand.”
“Will you really?” the Sith asks. He takes another step, testing him, and Harry strikes. If the Sith hadn’t leapt back, he’d be without his head. Instead, the temple wall loses a chunk of stone that sprays into dust. And then the Sith laughs. “Oh,” he says, “I like you.”
Wherein Lord Voldemort is a Sith with an agenda (though no one quite knows what it is) and Harry Potter is a young Jedi Knight who just wants to do the right thing.
