Summary
He should be tired of it by now, tired of chasing Cheng Xiaoshi around and around through every single timeline he's found himself in, and yet, he isn't. Maybe his will to carry on is fueled by the desire to stay by Cheng Xiaoshi's side, always just for a little longer. Maybe it's simply because it is Cheng Xiaoshi that he can find the strength to continue. It both sounds the same to him, honestly.
He's already learnt to memorize the patterns in this life, through countless tried and failures. He's learnt to prepare beforehand for any danger, for any possible disruption to the timeline.
He really should've seen it coming, hearing those words come out of Cheng Xiaoshi's mouth, all sweet and filled with admiration and envy. It's disgusting, the way he reacts upon seeing this.
