“It serves him right,” Thalia says from the opposite couch her feet kicked up on Percy’s coffee table, “He shouldn’t have lied.” There’s a lit at the end of her tone, directed towards Luke especially, but Luke does his best impression of an innocent, truth-telling citizen.

Thomas Sanders has dealt with a lot of things in his lifetime: the super assassin from Hydra despite Hydra having been thought wiped out in 1945, the lab experiment that went so completely, terribly wrong that it took a liking to human flesh, the millionaire who's genius son created a working robotic suit of armor that nearly started World War Three, the god that popped down to Earth for a friendly hello and nearly obliterated New Mexico in an attempt to get back to his homeworld, and who could forget the german created, American raised super soldier that just woke up from a seventy year long nap in the frozen tundra of North America.
Thomas has been around. He's seen a lot.
