Summary
Tim Drake never actually wanted to become part of the Robin-Batman-vigilante outfit. No, really. But the last Robin up and died, and now Batman is going crazy, and no one else is doing anything about it, so...Tim decides to become Robin. He might as well, right? At the very least it'll give him something to do while his parents are gone.
Still, Tim's not taking up the mantle until he can put a couple of things in order. Step one? Making sure the Joker can't get it into his head to kill another Robin. Not ever again. (Good thing Tim's not the one with a 'no killing' rule.)
And then after that? Well, after that it's only just a matter of keeping Batman from learning Tim's identity and subsequently chasing him off. Not until Bruce can get back on his feet and pick a new Robin, a real one this time. Easy-peasy.

Summary
At first, he is only irritated by the audacity of the man who’s thrown the substance. Did he truly expect that to be enough to cause Damian to lose? Had his reputation somehow taken a hit of some sort? A civilian might have uploaded a video of him stumbling and Tim had decided to repost it again. His annoyance is palpable.
That feeling is quickly replaced by hot pain.
His eye burns. Scorching flames ember inside of him, nestling in his eye socket and licking at his face. He curls backward, holding his face in agony.
Acid.
Damian is injured in the most dangerous of manners. If only his family would let him voice his predicament.

What begins as an inconvenience quickly spirals into something far worse, as he finds himself struggling with the mounting realization: no one has noticed. As his silence deepens, so do the rifts with his family. He’s not helped by the many more sinister theories the people around him assume because of his new temperament.
One thing is certain: he really, really hates magic.
