Summary
He feels something creep closer to him now as his hands are gripping the controls. It’s almost a tendril, a vine – a root. It was always going to come to this.
He recognizes what this is: the root of everything. The root of nothing. They certainly sang of it enough over their time as a band. Tim himself had always been cast as that of Loki, the woman with the knowledge of what was coming and what she could never stop.
“You can always trust that we will at least come back,” Jonny had said. He couldn’t know what a lie it was; he couldn’t have known what a truth it was, he sees now as the roots dig themselves in.Gunpowder Tim tips the thrusters forward, auto-aims the guns to rain hellfire upon the unsuspecting city, and tears the world into an inferno. He lets the tendrils sink, tear into him in turn.
