“Aw, what? Dude, this is our last summer vacation together,” Kirishima says.
"Who says I care,” Katsuki says, louder.
“Come on, Bakugou, you know it’s not gonna be as fun without you. You can’t just sit out.” And then he points that stupid smile towards him. “You’re coming, right?”
And yeah, obviously he’s coming. Obviously he’d take the seat next to Kirishima on the couch. Obviously he’d take his ice cream. Usually it’d be no question that Katsuki would let Kirishima stick to him like a weird magnet and drag him around, but lately, that’s been complicated.
Because Katsuki saw it - the mark on the back of Kirishima’s neck. It’s usually covered by hair. When you sleep in someone’s bed, you see these things.
This year, the start of summer vacation only seems to make it feel more clear that Class 3A’s time at UA is coming to an end. Eijirou and Katsuki have both settled into the way they feel about each other. But how the other feels, and what would unfold if they actually talked about the soulmarks they've had for years - that, they'll have to find out this summer.

At fifteen, Bakugou was convinced he'd be the greatest hero in the world when he grew up.
At thirty five, it's not quite the future that's happened.Bakugou has it pretty good: still a pro hero - though not ranked, a respected heroics teacher, and most days almost a decent person. He has a good job, good friends, and by all measures a pretty nice life, even though it's not what he wanted back in the day, what he thought he'd be living.
And at the same time, he keeps wondering:Is this...it?
It's not until a long-lost friend comes back into his life that Bakugou starts to wonder if he could maybe do better than just existing.

Summary

A suspicious immigration officer has him playing along on a trip to Kirishima's family home for his birthday, and is suddenly thrust into the middle of many, many eager friends and relatives, all delighted to know Kirishima's fiance. The longer he stays and sees Kirishima in his element, the more Bakugo unpacks his own feelings on the matter, and on Kirishima himself.
A fanfiction based on the 2009 movie The Proposal that turned into its own storyline and lovingly stuffed full of cliches.
