Summary
After a beautiful afternoon that had ended in a way neither of them had liked, they only saw each other again on the ice three months later. But things were different now. Whilst Ilya couldn’t keep his eyes off of Shane, the other man hadn’t even glanced at him once.
That, more than anything, made Ilya angry, causing him to hit Shane, accidentally using too much force and sending him off to a hospital. Immediate regret and a way too public display of concern are only followed by a descending spiral of blame and self-hatred.
OR: Ilya injures Shane three months after Tuna Meltdown and completely forgets to hide his emotions which are now, of course, on public display. And well, people get a bit too curious.
