Summary
“Are you okay?” Oscar asked, taking the water bottle from Lando, and setting it down. He looked worried and in the dim room lighting, the shadows on his face made him look exhausted. Come to think of it, Oscar was probably exhausted. It was definitely past four in the morning, and instead of sleeping, he was baby-sitting his sorry ass. “Lando?”
Fuck. He’d forgotten Oscar had asked him if he was okay. What was he supposed to say in response? Yes, I’m fine, ignore the agonizing pain, or would he have to admit to the truth. Oscar wasn’t stupid. Lando knew this. He would not believe it if he lied, and while he probably wouldn’t push, Lando would feel bad for lying to Oscar when he had spent so much time helping him.

Oscar lets the heaviness of his eyelids win out. He feels his heartbeat slow right down, feels his arms and legs go all wobbly against his will. Somewhere, his brain is protesting, but he’s so tired, and sleep is staring at him, and Oscar lets go.
It should be weird, sleeping with his teammate.
It’s the most comfortable he’s been in years.

Oscar tensed before half heartedly patting Lando on the shoulder, not sure what else to do.

“God mate,” Lando pulled away, laughing. “You fucking suck at hugs”

or, five times lando comes into oscars room to ask for his help with something and then berate his hugging skills plus one time that oscar goes to lando and gives him a good hug and maybe plus one more time but its landos pov. so basically the title.
