"I love you so much," whispered Shane as he forced himself to pull away from Ilya's face, "I'm so happy. Are you happy?"
Ilya looked at him with those eyes, his eyes, large, gentle and glistening, brimming with endless emotions. Shane could see tears welling up at the corners. A smile trembled on his lips but he couldn't bring himself to wipe it away. He took Shane's hand and brought it to his lips, kissing every single finger with devotion.
"Terribly happy," he replied.

"How about you tell me everything that’s on your mind but in Russian? I won’t understand but maybe it’ll help?”
Ilya never speaks his mind in English, not really. Besides, feelings don’t really have a place in this dance they’ve been doing for years. Shane discovered that easily enough on the couch in Ilya’s house, flayed open under his gaze by a single utterance of his first name. He bolted like a spooked horse before the afterglow could even set in.
But God, what if Shane could finally get a real glimpse into it? To see what Ilya won’t tell him, can’t tell him? The emotions he keeps buried so deep under the Hollanders and that asshole persona?
Before he can think better of it, Shane pulls up his Google Translate app.

Summary
Mickey’s driving off and Ian feels like he can’t breathe. His feet are glued to their spot and he won’t be able to leave until he knows Mickey has made it through. The disguise was a good one and there’s no reason why he wouldn’t make it through.
Ian frowns as he watches Mickey’s car sit there at border patrol. Why isn’t he moving forward? Ian starts moving closer before he even realises it, leaning against the concrete barriers so he can get a better look.
