“Are you Lieutenant Kozume?” The boy - who he assumed was Tobio Kageyama - had a quiet, bland voice. Kenma felt the sofa he was sitting on shift as Tobio sat next to him. Glancing through his bangs, Kenma noticed that Tobio was looking straight ahead, presumably also in an attempt to avoid eye contact.
“Just Kenma, please.”
“Hmm. Then, Kenma, why did you join the military?” Tobio’s voice was still flat, but there was a hard glint that made Kenma tense.
Still, there was only one answer that would be true enough for Tobio. “I came to protect someone.”

Summary
A mansion in the forest in itself isn’t normal but neither is it strange. The seven inhabitants, though, are the most peculiar thing Wooyoung has learned about his new town. Every question he asks the locals raises more questions, the answers just as elusive as the mansion’s residents.
If the townsfolk couldn’t answer then it seemed he’d have to figure out from the individuals themselves. It just gets hard to ask questions when they’re all so devilishly handsome. Not to mention the charismatic mansion owner Kim Hongjoong who seems to have taken a liking to him.

Summary
It's an easy answer. Seonghwa inclines his head and breathes out, "I'm looking for my mate, an omega by the name of Hongjoong."
Seonghwa expects–hopes for–a flash of recognition and for the alpha to smile and invite him in. But instead the alpha's gaze darkens into something seething. The wolf crosses from the porch, tears through the gate, and converges on Seonghwa in a matter of seconds. Under the spike of the other alpha's scent, Seonghwa cowers. He holds up his hands, drops to his knees right here in front of the beautiful flowers, and he bows his head in submission.
"What the hell do you think you're doing here?" the alpha snarls viciously.
Seonghwa steadies himself, not looking up. He carefully repeats, "I'm looking for my mate."
The alpha scoffs. He sounds not only bitter but tired. "Why would you, when you're the one who killed him?"
Or; Hongjoong and Seonghwa began their mating in the ashes of a great war, one in mourning and the other seething for vengeance. They parted ways with one clinging to the bond they were left with, and the other rejecting it. Years later, they might have the chance to meet again.
