Zorion looked at him silently. Roland didn't think he'd ever seen him at a loss for words. He stroked through Zorion's hair until his hand came to rest on the back of his neck.
"I do have some faith in your wisdoms," he said. "And I would put myself in your hands tonight."
After the nights in the forest, Roland finds himself unsteady, ashamed, and hesitant to meet his sire in such a state. He seeks out Zorion instead. He's not entirely sure what he wants to ask of him, but the last time he'd lost himself, Zorion had known how to put him back together.
