A stranger slid onto the barstool beside Danitz. The man’s beauty was unearthly, jarringly familiar— it was the same as that elf he’d met inside a book. The memory, blurred by alcohol, overrode all caution. Danitz flashed the man his best flirty smirk.
"Hello there, beautiful. Did it hurt when you fell from the sky?"
