Seraphim sat up, her eyes soft in a way Flux rarely saw. She was usually all sharp edges and sharper words, but right now she looked almost tender. "Then tell him at the retreat."
Flux blinked. "What?"
"The retreat. You'll be stuck in the same place for three days. He can’t run away." She shrugged, like it was the simplest thing in the world. "Sounds like the perfect opportunity to me."

Shadow Cherri cut him off, addressing Shadow Katie, Rusty, and CC. “Why are you here? Surely you want to go back home to our world.”
“Well it’s quite nice here, I think,” replied Shadow Katie, with an air of dissonant cordiality. “Don’t you miss your mountain?”
“Ooh, see, it’s kind of awkward,” Shadow Cherri continued, with a faux-apologetic tone, “’Cause we’d just booked this place as our vacation home already.”
CC pulled out a stick of TNT, grinning. “I do know of an easy solution to this problem.”
“Woah, woah, woah!” Katie held up her hands, backing away.
The Red Kingdom members backed off from the Shadows as CC laughed at their reactions.
Nom bristled, fully drawing out his axe. “I think you should leave, actually.”
Or; the Red Kingdom summons dangerous and powerful beings, Shadows, to the world of Bannerfall, some of which share the faces of people they know. This becomes everyone's problem.
