Summary
When he catches himself, Damon realizes his face is stuck, stretched taut by awe, clay shaped by Graham’s calloused hands. He pries his eyes away from Graham and his filthy guitar, fixes his face, lowers his eyebrows, shuts his jaw. Coughs. Looks around. Damon notices Alex practically drooling beside him and rolls his eyes.
“Close your mouth,” Damon sneers.
“You first,” Alex says.
(AU. At Goldsmiths' annual student-run weeklong battle of the bands, Damon and Alex both have their eyes set on recruiting Graham, a virtuosic guitarist, to their respective bands. Shenanigans ensue.)

Summary
“I should say– I wanted to say– well. I will say–” Graham starts, trying to arrange the maelstrom of feeling in his head into something simple. His entire body is overwhelmed by the need to say sorry.
He glances up at Damon again, whose eyes are searching him more eagerly than he'd expected. The sight of him is so arresting he gives up. “I dunno.”
(Graham has a shitty night drinking. Damon picks up the pieces and drags him to the studio the next day. They kiss and make up.)

Summary
He can’t toss himself right now. He’s pissed. He’s tired. He’s been given the wrong room. He’s running on three hours of sleep. And a crick in his neck from nodding off in the car. Despite the growing list of grievances that demand more of his attention, he’s still so angry with Graham it makes him see white. The kind of angry that stems from a broken heart at the center.
If he’s so mad, why’s he so hard?
Sometimes Damon scares himself.

(It's 2003, and despite being bitterly and quite publicly estranged, Damon and Graham find themselves double-booked for the same hotel room on one of the year's busiest weekends. They'll have to deal with it.)

Summary
There were plenty of filthy things they could be doing right now. But weren’t. Damon wanted to take the kiss further, but felt himself hesitating. Again and again.
He wanted to say I miss you, but Graham was right there.
“Graham”, he whispered, just for the sake of it. Graham looked up at him like he knew what he meant.

(Damon’s depressed, demoralized, and sexually frustrated in London after dropping out of drama school. Graham’s in art school having a blast. They’re in different places both physically and emotionally and aren't, well, connecting quite as they used to. They work it out over the phone.)
