“My old contract has been severed,” he says, eyes still trained towards the ground, “and I have left the grounds of Liyue to avoid relieving the burden of old memories.”
“To start a new life…” Ei says, something in her eyes almost akin to understanding.
Xiao swallows, words caught in his throat. “If you will take me, it would be my honor to serve you, in exchange for saving my life.”

"I shouldn't be playing forward; I should be here, in the centre."
Jamie may be thriving in his new role on the pitch, but that doesn't mean he won't have a slight identity crisis when some things are pointed out to him.

Summary
“I’ve got to go to her,” Jamie says. “It’s...it’s my fault. Sorry. I have to go, coach.”
Roy nods his head to the first part before he registers the second, but by then it’s too late, and he’s no idea how to say that it isn’t without reminding Jamie whose fault that it actually is, and the idea of doing that—acknowledging, in front of everyone, now, that this is his fault, that Jamie or his Mum would get hurt, that they would lose this fucking match, all because of the decision that Roy made—makes the acid in his throat threaten to eat a hole straight out of it.
It’s a compromise, in the end, something that soothes both his guilt and his shame.
“Alright,” he says, firmly, “But I’m coming with you.”
OR: When Jamie's worried about how his father's presence will affect his playing at the Man City match, Roy has the bright idea to keep him out of the stadium entirely. Things get personal anyway.

Summary
Jamie has never been particularly good at science, but he doesn’t think time loops are supposed to be normal, or, like, even possible. He wonders, vaguely, whether he’s maybe lost his head. Too many hits, too many rough tackles, something like that. Maybe he’s lost his shit, and none of this is really happening.
That might actually be the better option.

Summary
Cyno’s eyes bore into Sethos over bared teeth, his mirror, his match, a friend from a time that neither of them can fully remember, a time before sacred power was ever forced through their skin and sinew — and something inside him settles.
A retelling of Oathkeeper, from Sethos’ perspective.
