"Are congratulations in order, then?"
What?
"Congratulations for what," Reo spits once he gets over the initial befuddlement of Chigiri's question. "What's there to celebrate?"
"But you're—" Kunigami starts, looking helplessly at Chigiri before trying again, "You make it sound like this is a bad thing."
"Of course it is!" Reo slams a hand against the table which causes it to shake, the drinks wobbling precariously. His voice comes out too loud, too harsh; he can't stop the words from tumbling out, can't stop his heart from shattering in his chest as he says, "Nagi has a girlfriend!"
Reo is the last one to find out that he's dating Nagi.

Nagi hands him a controller, Reo takes it, “so… you didn’t tell me you got a girlfriend.”
Nagi shrugs, eyes glued to the screen as he passes the ball to Reo’s little ingame character, “it’s a new thing.”
“Oh nice, nice,” he says, even though everything is bad, bad. He can’t believe Nagi didn’t tell him or wouldn’t tell him- it wasn’t like Nagi to keep secrets, he was just too lazy for that. His heart squeezes in his chest.
